I came out of the bathroom to Bishop not laying on the bed waiting for me like I had hoped. Instead, he was pacing the room on a phone call with apparently some she wolf from his former pack. I heard bits and pieces of the conversation. His ex became Luna and little miss omega propositioning my mate. If it wasn’t for the fact that at that moment Bishop hugged and kissed my forehead. I think I would have jumped through the phone and tried to strangle her. I really am possessive of him I need to get that in check for reals. When he hung up, he filled me in on the rest of this conversation. I was shocked but skeptical. Omegas were a vital part of any pack and should be treated with the upmost respect but having this one here in Desert Moon I just don’t know. “What do you want to do?” I asked him. “I would like to help her if I can but to be honest, I wasn’t planning on going back to Snow Mountain. But it seems I will have too now.” “Well can we be petty?” “Petty how? instead of having your alpha and our commitment ceremony on your birthday like Nola was planning. We can bring the date up, let’s say in about 2 weeks or so. Make you and Thomas full members of Desert Moon. I can charter a private plane to fly us back to New York in style.” “Why would you need to charter a plane? He then goes on to tell me that due to some stock investments, him having silent partnerships in some startups and other things. He is a multi-millionaire in his own right. That he never told his parents, Ej or even Anna, of his finances and only lived on the income he had coming in from working at Monroe enterprises. I sat dumbfounded, “ok like you could fund your own pack without breaking a sweat on your own. Why didn’t you?” “At first that was the plan to get enough liquid capital to fund and build my own pack from the ground up. But I could never decide on when and where. It was never the right time, so I never did it. I now realize it was always because of this, always because of you. We were meant to be together. So, are we in agreement? You will show up to this Luna ceremony with me and our entourage as Alpha Bishop Monroe.” “No!” “No?” “No, I will not show up as Alpha Bishop Monroe but as Alpha Bishop Romero, I will take you name at our alpha ceremony a Romero will always lead the Desert Moon Pack. Plus being a Monroe was never a benefit to me. Neither my parents nor former pack accepted me so why should they have any ties to our pack. It’s Monday morning and I received a mind link from Cj to meet in her office for an important meeting at 10a. Apparently, they got in from T or C late last night but wanted to hit the ground moving where the pack is concerned. So here I am sitting in Cj’s alpha office with everyone in they momma. “So, we called y’all in here to.” “Tell us y’all marked and mated yada yada yada” Rainbow said we all laughed. “Yeah, I guess everyone already knew what was up. I mean s.hit, we all felt the newly formed bond within the pack. It felt like another rank member had entered the pack. It felt like an Alphas link. To be honest a lot of people were panicked by it” Rainbow said. “Well, we’ll make an announcement at a pack wide dinner this evening. Bishop will be named co alpha of Desert Moon. Our alpha ceremony will take place in 2 weeks’ time it will also be a marriage ceremony.” “What!? Y’all getting married” I screamed. “Yes, Nola we are will you be my maid of honor? Ummm do we know any officiants in the pack?” “I will be honored if I can officiate for you two” Mrs. Chen ask. “Of course, Martha I would be honored. Also, Bishop will be taken my last name so that his family cannot have any ties to our pack.” “Oh wow. Ok so I guess this would be a good time to tell you your brother called numerous times over the weekend to talk to you.” “Oh, really he has.” Bishop just looks at Cj and laughs like a good belly roll laugh. “What’s up Bishop why you are laughing like that” Thomas asks. “Because I know why he was harassing Nola apparently Ej has chosen a mate and probably wanted to invite me to the Luna ceremony.” “More like order you to it” Cj cut in. “oh that’s nice” Juliet said again Bishop laughed “not really Julie, he mated my ex-Annabelle, and the Luna ceremony will be held on my birthday the summer solstice. So instead of celebrating it with the people who I came to love and care for like family. I have to go and be petty like my baby wants me too.” He says looking at each and every one of us in the room. “Petty? I get to be petty?” “Yes, little sis I may have lost a brother and some seriously iffy parents, but I gained 3 little sisters a mate and a bunch of elders to guide me. Thomas, you know how we do.” After Bishops little speech there wasn’t a dry eye in the office. I could tell from looking at my dad that it hit him hard in the heart. He always wanted a son. After losing my mom during childbirth with what would have been my younger brother, I know he always wanted me to find my mate so he could get a defacto son. So, bishop claiming all of us as his family yeah, he gets a holding place for the son he lost. “Ok enough of the emotional s.hit lets get back to business Bishop’s brother wasn’t the only call” I told them. “Who else?” Cj asks. “The Council called to be exact investigator Knight called to schedule the yearly meeting it’ll be in three weeks.’ ’S.hit ok, so it’ll be tight, but I want Bishop and Thomas to already be full members and our marriage a done deal before they come.” “Got it we’ll make it work am I planning it?” “Of course, you know I can’t do that s.hit, if it was up to me we would just get it done at city hall in silver city. But if I did that you would kill me so yes you get to dust of your trapper keeper and get my marriage done.” “Trapper keeper?” Bishop asks. “Yes, Nola has had mines, Juliets, and Rainbows mating ceremonies planned since we all were sixteen. It will be nothing for her to add in some extra s.hit for the whole marriage.” “This is true” I say. “We will get everything done in 2 weeks, deal with the council in 3 weeks. Then we will get ready for a plane ride to New York for this Luna ceremony and our petty ass lick back.” “Oh, what I wouldn’t give to be a fly on that wall.” “Oh, what would you give?” Cj asked me with that twinkle in her eye. “You mean I’m coming?” ’Of course, I am a troll who lives under the bridge who else will make me into a pretty pretty princess. Thomas and Juliet, you’ll be in charge of the pack while we are gone, is that going to be a problem?” “No not at all we’ll hold everything down while y’all go f***k some s.hit up.” Thomas says with a chuckle. “Rainbow want to get in this action too?” Cj asked, “A free trip to New York s.hit I am there even without all the drama” “Ok good so if there’s nothing else?” “Nah girl we good other than color scheme and s.hit there’s nothing else to talk about.” “We can meet at my house after the pack dinner and go over everything for the ceremonies Rainbow, Thomas, Juliet that sound ok with y’all.” “Yup.” I left the meeting happy that my girl was happy. We all needed this little slice of heaven. I got a brother out of the deal. Wow I wonder if Bishop truly knows he’s a Daye now whether he liked it or not. Shaking my head, I seen my dad and walked up to him and hugged him. Well, papi it seems you got the son you wanted all along. No one or nothing can compare to you my nina but yes it warmed my heart that Alpha Bishop sees us as family. Richard and Naomi would be so happy right now.
