Arielle’s POV: I woke up in a gigantic room… which wasn’t mine. The silk sheets smelled like Lucien. His heavy arm was wrapped around my waist. He truly was possessive. He looked so innocent while asleep, but for some reason, my chest feels hollow because I know what I have done. I felt Lucien’s lips brush my shoulder. “Don’t leave yet,” he said in an intimate, rough voice. “I have to go to work,” I replied. He tightened his grip as he pressed his into my back. “You’re already at work,” he quietly said. I felt heat coil low in my belly. My body betrayed me. He kissed my neck. Then he suddenly bit my neck. I gasped. He slid his hand up to my stomach. Over my ribs, then to my breast. I arched into him. Then my phone buzzed on the nightstand. Once. Twice. Three times. My blood went cold. I twisted out of his arms. “Who is that?” he asked while watching me closely. “No one,” I lied as I grabbed my phone and fled into the bathroom. I locked the door. UNKNOWN: You have ten minutes to copy the Zurich acquisition files. There is spyware on Lucien’s laptop. Plug the flash drive I left in your bag. Or I send him the pictures. I felt my heart slam into my throat. ARIELLE: What pictures? A message came back instantly. It was a still image. My naked back. Lucien’s hand on my hips as his mouth was on my neck. It was a picture taken from above, from inside the penthouse. Smile, the anonymous individual sent. You are very photogenic when a billionaire is ruining you. I dropped my phone instantly as I almost screamed. 2 hours later. Lucien’s office door clicked shut behind me. My hands were shaking. I knew he was in a board meeting, and Rafeal was in his office. I had ten minutes. I slid the flash drive into Lucien’s laptop. The progress bar appeared. I felt guilty… it felt like I was skinning him alive. When the progress bar finally hit 100% i yanked the drive out and shoved it into my purse. My phone buzzed. Good girl. I felt like throwing up, so I ran to the bathroom. I feel disgusting. Later that afternoon. I was walking towards the break room when Rafeal suddenly grabbed my arm. “Did Lucien do that?” he asked in an angry voice. I felt him scanning me from head to toe. My breath hitched. I was completely caught off guard. “No”. I quickly replied. He stepped closer. “You flinch every time your phone vibrates.” “You cry when you think no one is looking.” “And now you have bite marks on your skin.” I shook my head as I tried to pull back away from him. He grabbed my wrist firmly. “Talk to me.” I almost did. Almost. My phone suddenly buzzed again. I jerked away from him. I knew I was hurting him, but I couldn’t allow him to get involved. “Who is doing this to you?” I whispered, “You wouldn’t believe me.” He quickly replied, “Try me.” “I can’t,” I replied. I noticed something shifted in his gaze. “Then I’m going to start digging.” My heart sank. Fear enveloped me. I went into Lucien’s office to submit the report he had asked me for when a woman walked in. She was wearing red heels. Red lipstick. “Oh,” she said softly. “So this is the cafe girl.” Then she smiled. My stomach dropped in an instant. “Camillia. Leave.” Lucien said. She totally ignored him. “I always wondered what kind of woman could replace me,” she murmured. “You look breakable,” she laughed in my face. She leaned closer to me, “I can break you if you want.” Lucien grabbed Camillia’s arm. “Get out,” he said. Camillia laughed. “You think she’s yours?” She looked at my purse. “Look at her phone.” “You should check what she’s really doing in your office.” My heart stopped. Lucien quickly pulled her out of his office. That evening… I received another message from the anonymous figure. It was a video file. SUBJECT: You belong to me now. The video played. Lucien is bending me over his bed. I was moaning his name. I went numb. Then a message followed. If you don’t leak Lucien’s Zurich deal tomorrow, this goes to Rafeal. Then the press. Then the board. I slid down the wall… I was tired of all of this I couldn’t hold it in anymore. I screamed. Lucien barged into the bathroom as he saw me curled up on the bathroom floor, sobbing. He grabbed my glowing phone from my hand. He watched the video. I noticed the shift in his face. “What is this? Who did this to you?” I couldn’t answer “Tell me the truth,” he shouted in my face.
