“You can play the victim,” David suggested, his index finger between his teeth. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I think David is right,” Selena chimed in. “We can have you play the victim. You left Mason because you found out he ditched his pregnant girlfriend, and as for Alex, you were only getting to know him when the drug case broke out, so you decided to break things off with him and keep your distance.”
Biting my pinky finger, I stared at the images of both men displayed on my laptop screen. My gaze lingered on Mason for a second longer before shifting to Alex.
“Fix a meeting with Mason.”
David’s gaze snapped up to me. “Why are you meeting with that bastard?”
