Wystan clenches both fists, staring at Shemar talking to Boon and Malea. "Mutherfucker," he spits out when Shemar hugs Boon. He looks around for Dutton, but remembers Humlery was introducing him to her sister. He starts walking toward them.
Shemar and Malea's backs are to Wystan. Boon sees Wystan walking up behind Shemar and Malea, the exact moment Shemar calls him father.
"Father," Wystan yells as he stops in his steps.
Shemar and Malea turn to look at him. Boon catches Malea's hand and gently pulls her behind him. Shemar gives Wystan a stern stare. "Yes, I called him father. Why wouldn't I? I know that you're aware that he's my mother's mate."
