"Can we be friends?" Tiana asked as she faced Richard.

Richard sighed.

"Yes, only friends." Richard said as he entered the car with Ella.

"Thank you Richard." Ella said with a smile.

"You're welcome, Thanks for saving me too from Tiana." Richard said.

"So,where are you alighting?" Richard asked as he turned to the other street.

"Go down,,my house is down the street." Ella said.

"Okay." Richard said as he handed over the painkiller drugs to her.

"Thank you, Richard." Ella said shyly.

"You're welcome." Richard replied.

"We're here." Richard said as he stopped the car engine.

"Thank you." Ella said as she got down from the car.

As she turned to leave, Richard held her hand,they faced each other for some minutes.

*I like you Ella.* Richard thought.

"See you tomorrow." Richard said as he started the car engine.

*Richard,,,* Ella thought with a smile.

She watched as the car drove off.

She turned to the entrance of the door. She met her mum folding her hands.

"Ella,who was that?" Mrs Spencer asked.

"Good afternoon Mum." Ella said as she tried to cover her swollen face.

Her mother noticed it.

"Ella, what's wrong with your face?" Mrs Spencer asked but Ella looked down.

She removed Ella's hands from her face.

"What?! Who did this to you?" Mrs Spencer asked.

"Mum, it's one of my class mates,I bumped into her and she dealt with me, mercilessly." Ella said.

"Oh my dear, I'm sorry, have you bought painkiller drugs?" Mrs Spencer asked.

"Yes mum,my friend gave it to me,he was the one who saved me from the girl."Ella said with a smile.

"Which friend,A boy?!" Mrs Spencer asked surprisingly.

"Yes mum,the one that dropped me few minutes ago." Ella replied.

"Wow, that's nice of him, send my regards to him." Mrs Spencer said.

"Ok mum." Ella replied as she entered the house.

**Mr&Mrs Collins mansion

"Welcome, young master." The maids bowed as they carried his bag.

"Thank you." Richard said as he entered the house.

He met his mother in the living room, watching news.

"Good day mum." Richard greeted as he sat on the couch.

"Hello son, what took you so long?" Mrs Collins asked as she decreased the volume of the television.

"Mum, something came up." Richard said as he smiled.

"What came up,and what's with the smile?" Mrs Collins asked as she touched his cheeks teasingly.

"Mum,I helped one of my classmates,she was bullied by one of the squads in the class,she was so bruised,and her face was swollen,I took her, bought drugs for her and eventually dropped her home. That was what took my time." Richard said.

"That so nice and caring of you,,son." Mrs Collins said with a smile.

"Thanks mum." Richard said as he went upstairs.

**Mr& Mrs Spencer house

**Ella's room.

**Tiana attacked me, Richard saved me,,I saved him back again..this is all confusing.** Ella thought as her phone beeped.

"It's Emily." Ella said with a smile,,,,,,,as she picked the call.

"Hey bestie." Emily said.

"Hey Emily, what's up?" Ella asked.

"Where have you been, I've been looking for you all day?" Emily asked in a worried tone.

"Oh that,I bumped in Tiana,she dealt with me,my face are swollen and I'm in pains,, but guess what?!" Ella asked.

"What?!" Emily asked.

"Richard saved me from her." Ella said in a joyous tone.

"Oh my goodness! Awwww,girl, that's so nice of him to do that."Emily said.

"So what did he do?" Emily asked as she cleared her throat.

"I don't understand you, Emily." Ella said

"I want full gist." Emily said laughing through the speaker of the phone.

"Ok,,, after the attack,he carried me in a bridal style,which pained Tiana, secondly on our way out of the school,,I was still unconscious in Richard's car,,, but Tiana's argument with Richard woke me. I woke up and eavesdropped,some of their conversations." Ella said.

"Conversations about what?" Emily asked.

"She was saying that she loves Richard, hugging him,, begging him,, but Richard didn't give in,he said she should stop,that he didn't feel the same way,, but Tiana kept doing the same,I looked at Richard,he was already stressed out. So I did something." Ella said.

"What did you do,Ella?" Emily asked.

"I saved him, I got down and challenged Tiana for the very first time in my life,she was so pained and angry,and we left the school." Ella said.

"Wow,I wish I was there to watch the face of that Tiana." Emily said as they laughed in Unison.

"Emily baby,my bestest ever,my ride or die,,,I love you baby girl,,,can you come over to my house?" Ella asked in a low tone.

"I was wondering where those sweet names would land,,,I will come,,on one condition." Emily said.

"Which condition?" Ella asked.

"I will eat six cupcakes." Emily said.

"Of course, always available, trust my mum and I." Ella said.

"Thanks bestie." Emily said.

"You're welcome foodie." Ella said as they laughed in Unison.

"I'm hanging up,I need to go inform mum,that I'm coming to your place." Emily said as she hung up the call.

Ella dropped her phone on the table.

She dozed off.

**Living room

"Grrrrr." The door alarm sounded.

"Who's there? Come in." Mrs Spencer said as Emily entered.

"Aww,my daughter, you're welcome." Mrs Spencer said as she hugged her.

"Thanks ma." Emily said.

"You're welcome dear,how are your parents?" Mrs Spencer asked.

"They are fine ma,how about Ella?" Emily asked.

"She is her room,,, let's go check on her." Mrs Spencer said as they went to Ella's room.

**Ella's room

"Oh my goodness,," Emily said laughing at the way Ella was sleeping.

"Ma,,I think it's because of the pains." Emily said.

"Okay dear, I'll leave you two alone." Mrs Spencer said as she left the room.

Emily removed Ella's slippers from her legs and placed it beside her bed.

She went to the small wardrobe and brought out a small first aid kit.

She opened it and brought out cotton and methylated spirit,she poured small methylated spirit on the cotton,she cleaned up the stains of the blood on Ella's arm.

Ella hummed slightly as Emily was cleaning the blood.

She woke up and saw Emily in her room.

"Oh bestie,for how long have you been here?" Ella asked as she sat on the bed.

"You're awake,I came not quite long." Emily said as she returned the First aid kit into the wardrobe.

"Oh, what did you use-" Ella said as she saw her face and her bruised cleaned and treated.

Ella stood up from the bed and went to hug Emily.

"Thank you so much,,, you're my favorite." Ella said as she hugged her again.

"You're welcome,what are friends for?" Emily asked as she hugged her.

"You're more than a friend, you're my small mom, my nurse, you're my everything,I love you bestie." Ella said.

"You're welcome." Emily said as Mrs Spencer entered.

"Cupcakes are ready girls, first to get to the table gets the large portion." Mrs Spencer said teasingly as Emily and Ella ran out of the room.

"This girls." Mrs Spencer said laughing as she also went to the living room.

Ella got there first,she took four cupcakes.

"Ella,no that's cheating,give me one from your portion." Emily pouted.

"Never ever." Ella said as she packed three cupcakes into her mouth at once,it was too much for her,the crumbs of the cake were falling on the tray. Emily was laughing alongside Mrs Spencer.

It was fun for them.

After eating all the cupcakes,Mrs Spencer served them Chilled orange juice.

They enjoyed themselves.

**Evening.

Ella escorted Emily to her house,on her way back,she felt some steps behind her.

She stopped to check but she saw no one.

She kept walking,, until someone touched her.
