THE ASSIGNMENT

LET THE GAMES BEGIN

After finishing their breakfast a loud speaker tells them to go to the back of the forest where lana will meet them all. Amelia and her teammates gather up for games but these aren't just your outdoor games like tug of war, football, balancing games or catch the flag no no no not these summer camp games.

I'm sorry I didn't tell you this sooner Amelia I wasn't allowed "

Says jess

" what, what are you talking about? "

Explains Amelia

" now I am lana as you all may know me and I will be taking your games now be prepared. Amelia who has just joined us will join in too and will have lots and lots of good fun. Won't you Amelia?"

Says lana

" mhm" as Amelia nods

"now everyone looks great in their uniforms Amelia you will be chosen to come with me into the room in the distance come on." as lana smiles

"okay" say Amelia waving goodbye to her new friends as they look at her with sadness on their faces knowing what's going to happen.

"now Amelia you look like you hold alot of potential in ur mind"

"what what do you mean I don't understand."

As Amelia walks into the room it's surrounded by grey and white plain walls and two chairs and one table with equipment and a screening board.

"what is this?" as Amelia's face turns from red to pale white just like the walls

"now place this on your head and it will tell me your strengths."

It had wires going from one end to another and lots of electronic things on the weird looking hat it also had gaps between.

Amelia places the headpiece on her head and immediately her pupils in her eyes grow large and she stares right into the screen.

" what do you see Amelia?"

"I see children."

"what else Amelia?"

"uhm they left they all disappeared, where have all the children gone?"

"okay okay good Amelia now do you see anything else?"

"i see blood, lots and lots of blood. It's on my hands!! And on the ground and on the grass and on the clothes of the children it's everywhere!!!"

Tears come pouring out from Amelia's eyes and crying for lana to stop

"lana please I don't like this please stop it"

"Amelia we are only getting started don't worry your okay"

Amelia starts to get sleepy and finally drops to the ground in a deep sleep.

Lana picks her up and puts her into a room with an echo, white walls everything was white except the camera point on the bed where Amelia would stay. She was dressed in a white gown with a white wristband.

"let me out of here you monster!!"

Screams Amelia

"all the children you saw earlier Amelia they were all fake, all gone, and never to be returned just like you if you don't do as I say I only have four girls including you they have stayed with me since they were 8 their parents were foolish and misleaded just like I was so Amelia you better appreciate what you have or well what you had now the girls may join you in here later, a bye bye. " says lana

" I can't believe this I made a mess of my life already I want my family back. "

" Amelia!?"

" jess!!! "

" I'm so glad your here jess I have made a mess of myself and I don't know how to get out of here please help "

" Amelia Im sorry I did this I didn't tell you and I should have I don't understand why I didnt"

As both girls cry together.

"where's the other girls?"

"they aren't real, none of them are."

Amelia screams and bangs on the glass as hard as she can not knowing that lana is watching her

"oh you seem a little bit cranky tonight don't you?"

Amelia walks up to lana and spits in her face and acts mad.

"let... Me.... Go now!!"

"oh but Amelia it isn't that easy here I will make A little phone call and also I hope you know your Latin"

"Im 'iustus vocatus parentibus tuis daturus sum ut sciant tuam perfecte mulctam, bene?"

(I'm just going to call your parents to let them know that your perfectly fine, okay?)

"hii Mr and Mrs sachins I just wanted to let you know that Amelia is doing perfectly here she has been doing all the games and she does miss home but don't worry she is in safe hands with me alright!"

Lana says in a sarcastic voice

"oh that's great I hear alot of screaming and banging om the phone miss lana ill leave you to it haha"

"yes, yes you do that good bye sachins"

Lana stood outside the white room while she had the spealer on the microphone so Amelia could hear

"I don't understand why you do this lana just let me go please I'm not special!"

"Amelia you are special now be quiet!"

As the next morning approached faster every second the breakfast was the same and the day was the same

Crying,

Dying inside

And everything else.

"I don't understand why I was chosen

Why I got put through to do this"

Amelia thought to herself in a quiet and small space. As her own thoughts floated high in the never ending white room.
