We live in Hannam the hill, the topmost, richest place, where the most luxurious apartments in Seoul are found. Most Korean artists and wealthy people live here. Our dorm was moved here a year ago, and I must say, it’s a place worth being in. The serenity and everything about it are just on another level. The other three members like it too, and we all want to stay here. Shin woke me up today, and I won’t say it’s the best way to wake up, but I guess it’s because I’m always the hardest one to wake. He splashed freezing cold water on my face I think he took it from the fridge because it almost froze my skin. I’m used to Shin’s brutality, and the only reason I don’t yell at him when he does that is because when we have somewhere important to be, he’s the one who wakes me up. If he didn’t, I wouldn’t have enough time to prepare myself. Well, preparing myself isn’t that hard, but I hate it ,it’s kinda boring. Lately, we’ve been focusing on our solo career songs, and that’s why everyone has somewhere to be today. I’m supposed to be writing a song, though I haven’t figured out the theme yet. But ever since the other day, I’ve been dreaming about it, and I think I might finally have the perfect idea of what to write. Still… why can’t I get him out of my head? I just woke up, yet I’ve been thinking about him nonstop for the past several minutes. I just can’t stop thinking about him. No matter how hard I try, trying to focus on something else, taking a shower without distraction, having breakfast with my bandmates, even forcing myself to come up with random stories, I still can’t help it. He’s still there, in my mind. I invited him, but I’m not even sure if he’s going to come. There’s no party, to begin with. I just made it up because I couldn’t bring myself to tell him that I simply wanted him to come over. Oh well… apart from the dorm we’re living in now, we all have our own personal houses, and mine is at the forest triage in Itaewon. Funny enough, I’ve never even been there before, but based on how the manager described it, he said it was the best place he could find that suited me. I had asked for permission from my manager, saying that I wanted to get familiar with the place and have some quiet time to think and write music. That gave me the perfect excuse to throw the fake party. It’s fake because I never planned anything, and it looks like I’ll be attending it alone. I did invite my bandmates, but lately, everyone has been busy with their solo music and looking for places to move into once our contract ends which is soon. The three of them haven’t found houses they like yet, and they’re still fully focused on their music. I didn’t want to disturb them. It might seem like a simple situation, but it’s actually difficult because of the pressure to get everything done in time. First, I had to go to Mr. Chin Mae’s office. He had called me and said there were some documents I needed to sign. Each of us has a driver and a bodyguard, but I wanted to go alone, even though it wasn’t advisable. Getting to FG Entertainment was easy enough. The real problem was getting to his office. Even the staff wanted pictures. It’s not bad, but sometimes it just feels uncomfortable. I really do love my fans, but it can get overwhelming. Sometimes it feels suffocating because you can never live a normal life like walking down the street without people chasing you for autographs and pictures, or shopping peacefully without an entire mall freezing at the sight of you. There’s no privacy in a celebrity’s life, right? I had just arrived at the building when everything turned into chaos. Luckily, two bodyguards came to my rescue. The entire ground floor had gone wild. People had abandoned their posts. Men and women alike were all over me you’d think I was some kind of president. Same old me, I had to smile for the cameras and sign autographs because I never know how to say no, especially to a fan. And why were they acting like this today? I should have came with a bodyguard. The two bodyguards were Mr. Chin’s personal guards, and trust me, if they worked for him, you could already imagine what they looked like—huge, fearless, well-built, moving like trained soldiers. Just one look at them, and you wouldn’t dare mess around. Everyone immediately returned to their posts. Then they escorted me to Mr. Chin’s office. The owner of FG Entertainment is only forty-four, but you’d never believe it. His face is so striking and youthful that you’d think he was barely over thirty. There was no need to knock. The man had a massive screen connected to the CCTV cameras, so he could see every corner of the building from his office. By the time I arrived, I simply heard his voice telling me to come in. The bodyguards stayed at the door, and trust me, with them there, no one gets in unless they have permission. Not even us, I mean no one could go in. Those men look like they can just lift you and throw you out with ease. As usual, if he wasn’t busy, he was playing with his pen, a pen he never seems to put down. I greeted him as I walked in, and he smiled. There’s always something about his smile. It’s… promising. The kind of smile that gives you hope, that makes you feel at ease. It’s rare to see that kind of warmth from a man as powerful and wealthy as him. He gestured for me to sit, and I gladly did.
