Chapter 46 If I had a dollar for every carrying case I’ve endured, I’d be able to buy myself and put me on my own shelf. Here I am, again, being pulled from a backpack and dropped onto a strange table. Please don’t let this be the end of my story. I’ve been so close to happiness so many times. I’ve survived Bookstores and coffee shops, heartbreak and hot liquids. This cannot be where my story ends. Can it? Brianna turns on a lamp but the light has little impact on this bleak space. I’m surrounded by dark walls that make the basement studio feel even more subterranean. Bed in one corner, table and chair against one wall, an armchair in another corner and the tour is over.
