Chapter 34
Domestic life can be noisy.
The morning begins with Pippa’s movements in the kitchen waking us all up. Then she’s standing in front of the mirror over the mantel, checking that her hair is tied back securely and the bow on her pink blouse is even. She layers matching pink on her lips, grabs a large briefcase and says, “Bye.”
After a few moments, the front door closes. Half an hour later, it’s Rob’s turn to move.
“It’s the same thing, every morning,” Healthy Life, Healthy Pregnancy says.
“Two ships, and all that,” Lord Nelson’s Biography says.
“Or just a financially prudent wife,” Take Care of Yourself and the Money Will Follow says.
