Back at work, Janice was getting back into the groove of things which had been hard with having been off for two weeks on a tropical island. It was also hard to focus because of the thoughts swirling around in her head of her new love interest, who was going to be in town for the weekend.
Janice heard through Renee, that Jared’s old fling was being brought up on all kinds of charges and could be looking at ten years or more if found guilty. Even while knowing there was a possibility that the baby’s mother would not be in the picture anytime soon, Janice was still totally numb to the disheartening situation.
