"I went into Lucas's room just to check on him. He wasn't in bed. I panicked and heard someone tell me to shh. I told them to put him down, and he said only if I promised to leave with them without making noise. If I didn't, Lucas would have a big drop. I agreed. They tied my arms together and taped my mouth." Her head shakes as she wipes away the tears.
"They were going to take him down with us, then one said to leave him, and I couldn't exactly scream for help. So they did. One guy went out to get the van. The other chased after me once I ran to Roland." Melodie explains while she cries.
