APPENDIX B MANDERIANS Physiology Manderians look like reptiles, with their scaly skins. Their epidermis’ colour is different from one Manderian to another. It can vary from green, to grey, to pink. Some tend to reddish, depending on their planet of origin. They have bone ridges around their eyes, on their foreheads. Their pupils are usually vertical, dark crevice and, like some lizards from Earth. Their eyes are far-sighted and have a neural mechanism that grants them better nocturnal eyesight compared to humans. They are an oviparous species. Their females lay already fertilised eggs. The number of eggs varies from one to several. Hatching happens after ten-twelve days. Eggs can be laid underground, for lack of a better solution, in a soft nest, but most commonly in the present day,
