On his return to Hydra, Salin found neither Meviz’s report, nor the acting tal in her office; she had left for Tau leaving no message for him. It increased his frustration, already at high levels because of his reaction to the alien female on the planet.
A distraction to clear his mind from the alien filth, that was what he needed. The station offered plenty of distractions. And, more to the point, resuming the interrogations would keep him focused on what mattered to him: finding the killer and concluding the investigation. What better way to entertain himself than interrogating the high-ranking officers of the station?
He must question them all sooner or later.
Goa Norfit was the first on the list and the one he enjoyed tormenting the most.
