Gently rubbing her now freed wrists, Wylie eyed the room she had been left in alone a few seconds ago.
It wasn't bad.
Not when she was comparing it to those cold dungeons walls and rough floor. This room held a bit of warmth and liveliness to it, it definitely had to be because it was well — not a plain room with no bed furniture or whatever — the walls were practically the same as those of the dungeon, a grey brick wall, but it wasn't filled with mold and stuff like that because it was actually taken care of.
The addition of a bed was ten times better, it wasn't as big but she wasn't complaining — they did give her beddings.
Which meant the night ahead wouldn't be cold or unbearable.
And the tiny window that had been her only source of light down below was much, much, more spacious in here and it had quite the lovely view that she could actually see.
Wylie knew Pinkie would love that, as soon as they returned from wherever that was — yes, Pinkie had a tendancy of running off when in true sense they had stick by Wylie.
With a sigh she took her gaze off the window to the small door just opposite to the bed, she would have the luxury of sleeping in.
She took a quick glance from the door to her shirt then pursed her lips.
She definitely had some dried up blood stains on her beautiful shirt along with some on her hand and below her nose — which meant what ever was behind their had to be the washrooms and just exactly what she needed.
And that had been exactly what Wylie did, taken a few steps from where she stood to the door. A hand over the handle Wylie pushed open the door, immediately as she did her eyebrows quirked up.
"Lovely."
She wasn't exactly expecting such a gorgeous room, they did seem to not 'like' her to an extent — and to briefly justify herself, she knew they couldn't change the washroom completely because of one unpleasant guest — but still that beautiful room was rather thoughtful of them.
Wylie smiled feeding to her own delusion.
The bathtub was centered in the room with hue and contrasting colours of black and grey all over the walls as well as floor. Though the floor seemed to be made more of a black shiny rock with the walls complimenting them — the washroom was definitely the best part of this room.
Wylie sat at the edge of the bathtub. Her right hand left and came to her face, the droplets of water she would manage to get working it's magic on her bloody face.
She had to rub a little for some strains to be completed wiped away. At the end of it all, her blue shirt had been partially soaked right were blood strains appeared before — she did her absolute best to get rid of those too and so far so good.
Just that the wet fabric brushing against her skin was uncomfortable but that would dry up eventually.
She didn't have a change of clothes — for now.
Hands clean, face clean and shirt wonderfully clean, Wylie walked out the washroom a bit more refreshed.
Now all she needed was food and plenty of sleep.
Just on queue there was a light knock from the door and Wylie wasted no time opening it up. She shouldn't have waited indeed as a woman stood in front of her with a tray of food.
A thank you with a wide smile from Wylie, she took it out of hands then retreated down the hallway as Wylie shut the door with her foot — her hands were a bit occupied as was her mouth chewing away a piece of scorn.
Wylie felt content, this was something she would take pleasure in and use to its full potential.
It did though, seem as though the world was not content with her happiness and peace of mind for a change as the door swung open, a loud noise came from the door hitting the walls violently.
And then that voice filled up her entire room.
"I need you to tell the Queen you decline."
Wylie stared at the Princess annoyed rather than scared with how much she was glaring at her.
"So I die!" Wylie swallowed before she spoke with a tone of disbelief and distaste, how inconsiderate and quite inhumane of the Princess.
"For the greater good." Shrugged the Princess, her arms crossed in front of her.
"You're insane." Wylie placed the tray down on the bed as she got up. If the Princess so rudely interrupted her peaceful munch time and start belittling her — she would definitely do the exact same thing.
Wylie stood a few inches away from the Princess, her arms crossed as well as a glare on her face as she stared down on the Princess.
She wasn't all that tall but just a few inches taller than Aldith, that and she was standing on her tippy toes — that did quite a good job at making Wylie tower over Aldith.
"Why don't you tell her yourself? She's your mother!" She challenged, her face giving nothing away especially how her calves were cramping up suddenly — height was painful!
"Clearly I have tried." Aldith took a step forward unphased at how close the two were right now.
"Stop trying because I'd like to live. I'm young." Wylie scoffed. Her calves were burning but she wouldn't back down neither would she take a step back, if the Princess wanted to go head to head — why the hell would she back down, she loved a challenge.
"What matters here is I can't go around Radae with my companion being a thief. That doesn't look good on my name or peace of mind."
"And I can't risk being executed because someone is a little butt hurt."
"Butt hurt!" Aldith hissed taking yet another step as if she could get any closer than they were. "You've robbed countless people, caused distress and injured a few!" Aldith yelled glaring at the thief then added. "Let's not forget you tried to rob me!"
"I didn't though, it should count as something!" Wylie argued matching Aldiths tone, annoyed and yelling every single word out.
"You failed miserably!" She laughed staring at Wylie. Who was the girl lying to, she hadn't backed down out of her free will.
She was frightened out of it.
"I chose to withdraw but then a hazel eyed menace shot darts at me!"
"I should have slit your neck if I knew this is where we would end up!"
Wylie's hands immediately went up her neck guarding her neck, she wasn't exactly sure the Princess wouldn't do that right now and given the circumstances no one was going to stop her.
"And I should have roasted you to ash and maybe you would be tasteful!"
The two held eachother's gaze, fierce glares at that. None wanted to back down so neither did, Wylie was finding it rather annoying how her calves burnt and now her eyes were getting watery.
So yeah, she blew into the Princess' eyes making her blink, a wide smile came over Wylie's face at her win.
"f**k you!"
"f**k me!?"
"Yes you dirty thief! f**k you!" Aldith spoke each word separately placing more emphasis while she shoved Wylie at each word.
Wylie hissed as her heels hit the ground unprepared at that sudden attack, not towering over her anymore Wylie shoved Aldith violently that created some space between them
"f**k you Princess! Go cry about it to your f*****g royal bed!"
"I won't give you the pleasure of seeing me cry!" She had her hands now gripping her shirt pulling her quite closer, she still hadn't stopped glaring neither did Wylie.
"Well I wish you'd take the pleasure of seeing you all together away!" Wylie yelled. Her hands roughly gripping the Princess' wrist — if she wasn't going to let her shirt go neither would she let her wrist rest.
"You're infuriating!"
"And what are you!?" Wylie remarked with the same level of annoyance, why did they have to both be so hot headed.
Wylie believe Aldith was being difficult because she for sure, was an easy going person until she met her — she managed to demolish her easy going walls and an fire was at hand.
She had never thought a day would come where she would be on the verge of fighting the Princess, but then again she never thought she would ever be captured — yet here she was not living up to her mysterious thief self.
"I hope spiders and bedbugs eat you alive!"
"I never knew the castle was infested!"
"f**k you!" The Princess let Wylie's shirt go immediately and so did Wylie, as she needed her hands to flip Aldith off as she stormed out the room.
Her light brown hair being the last she saw of the furious Princess.
Leaving the door open — not very good mannered of a Princess but then again such foul words left her beautiful mouth, anything after that wasn't a surprise but an expectation.
Wylie sighed her head resting against the door, her entire mood was ruined. "I'm really doing this." She mumbled her eyes closed — what a situation she had found herself in.
