Once more.

The time had passed slowly. Hunter listened to all the lessons the goddess had to give. He didn't just listen, but thought on those lessons. Taking each one to heart. Not for himself, no but for Willow. The day he returned to town, he looked for her. Eager to talk to her, anxious to get what he wanted to say right. She was sat in the only cafe in town. She was twiddling a straw around a milkshake and staring off into space. He sat next to her unnoticed. When she finally noticed he was there, she jumped slightly. 'Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you', he smiled at her to convey he was sorry about that. She looked like a deer in the headlights. As though she would bolt at any time. This wasn't going the way he had hoped. 'Hi', he said. 'Aren't we a little bit past hi', she said. He shrugged suddenly awkward. 'I thought I would try to say hello properly. I am sorry about before', he began searching for the right words. 'So you are sorry about our kiss', she looked downcast at this. Sorry about our kiss, hell no not for one second. 'I'm not sorry about the kiss no, but I wish I had not stole it. A kiss should be given', he said remembering everything he had learned from the goddess. 'So if I chose to give the kiss, you would accept?', she said this mockingly as if disbelieving. Would I accept, Hunter thought, I would run over hill and dale for it. 'I would accept', he said. Again she looked stunned. 'Kiss me then, before I change my mind, if this isn't some kind of joke', her eyes were downcast again. He closed the distance between them quickly. Putting his hand under her chin he tilted her face up, so she had to look at him. If I am a sinner he thought give me my sin once more. He kissed her.
