-We don't know that yet, the old wich left a barrier around her why would she do that if she wasn't one. Who she was accompanied with?

A woman full dressed in a black and white dress is talking to a boy on the local cafe.

-Ryan, keep an eye close to her, wolves don't so often get close to other people, not if they are no wolves.

-Yes ma'am.

The boy stand up from the table and keep doing his job, he is a waiter, when he first meet Istar he was stunned she is far more beautiful what people said and couldn't believe she was the witch he was supposed to watch. He came to town on a task his coven commanded him. He is a wizard apprentice a young one his task is to find the granddaughter of Yelena and look If she is a witch if she is one she would be murdered or not, depends on the lineage of her. Anton the son of Yelena was a deserter he managed to live way long for a deserter, if his daughter is a complete witch then she'll get the chance to live. But if she is an hybrid she'll die. Now the question it's how would they accomplish that? The witch Yelena did something to her, the witches can't get too close to her, and the place where she lives it's protected so that's why Ryan it's here. In reality he is an adopted son of a wizard so he is not a wizard he is half fairy that's why he knows Istar doesn't have magic and that Angel it's a wolf, fairies can use magic and feel it too they born with it.

Ryan it's skeptical about Istar being a witch, she has no magic at all, at her age she should have storage some magic or if she is a hybrid she would have killed him by her own presence. Rumors say that she is one but nothing it's true. There's no dead people around here that have died by her touch.

The woman goes out the place and head to the only hotel in town she hates this town, she is a priestesses she should be around a lot of people to take energy from them and create dark magic or white one doesn't matter it's the same thing for different proposes. But the high witches and wizards found about the existence of a barrier on the limits of the town the former high priestesses Yelena was living her retirement. Her son is dead as she is too, so why should a barrier be placed around there? Some witches and wizards came to town to find what the barrier was protecting and in town they get to know that a girl was living where the old witch used to live and they tried to get close to the barrier but they never succeeded the barrier is against supernatural creatures so then they tried to get close by accident to the girl and when they were getting closer to her they find themselves behind her as if she has passed through them and she didn't even realize about what happened. They informed to the high witches and they put the task to Ryan one of the adopted sons of the wizards and witches that are allowed to know the secrets of the witches.

And that is how Zathustra is the one on charge of the case, and she hates it.

She drives to the hotel to left her car on the parking lot a space outside the place like the parking lot of a market. When she is passing the lobby a girl is talking.

-She did it, she made her passed out! I saw it, she was watching her with hate and after that Alina passed out.

-You said she came accompanied.

-Yeah with a really handsome tall guy. The one from the 403 the friend of Sam.

Zathustra instead of taking the lift she went to sit to a couch close to the girls talking.

-Oh!

-He came with her to pick his things and check out. Alina obviously was eating the guy with her sight and the witch got really mad. Her eyes were changing colors. When they were heading out Alina passed out.

-I hope I don't cross her path ever. The doctors say that she is in a coma. Like she has lost the will to live. They will do some studies to check for illness that can make her get in a coma like that.

-Oh my good! I'm sure they will not find anything. It was her I saw it I used to have some doubts but now I know it's true.

-Remember? The gossip from last month?

-The one of the girl from the clothes store?

-Yeah, she said that the witch touched her.

-And she got nightmares almost all month. Oh god! I thought that time she was being paranoic but after seeing this I'm sure I'll never get close to that witch.

Zathustra didn't need more information seems that the girl it's a witch after all.

She rises from the couch and heads to her room when in there she turn her computer on and opens her email to write a report about what she had found out about the little witch.

Zathustra believes that the girl must be a witch, witches drain energy mostly from humans due to the ease of controlling their feelings.

If the little witch was upset with the girl, she drained her purposely, there's no way she is a hybrid, even if the old witch did something to her that should have dissapear when the old witch died, there's no magic that can continue without the magician that casted it.

When she ends her report she send it. They might send a response tomorrow if she is lucky if not they can take a week and she must keep feeding them with information and stay on this old fashioned small town.

Zathustra recalled Ryan's words he say that they came yesterday, and if the locals are not wrong she just comes out once a month, but now she is with a wolf... Why? She can't be his mate if she was he would be dead by now, the only way that she might be his mate is if she is an hybrid but she is not.

Maybe she is using the dog for her benefits...

She doesn't care she just needs to end this stupid task and go back to her life.

Two days later the girl and the wolf hasn't show again and she gets restless, there's no more news about them and no response from her superiors.

She is having lunch on the local cafe when she feel some presences. Wolfs. A bunch of them. So she quickly hides her presence. Wolves are stupid and naive creatures that thinks they are the good guys "ha ha ha" thought Zathustra.

They get inside and sit on a table besides hers.

-This place smells like him.

Says a bulky man, he is tall and looks hispanic.

-Yes Michael that's why we are here.

A tall and slender woman with blonde hair and blue eyes responses.

-He vanished, there's no more traces of him.

Says again the man.

-Well we need to ask the locals, he was supposed to return from this spot.

Another woman says, long red hair that is braided on her head like a crown and she have foxy green eyes, she is the shorter among the three.

-We might stay here longer, Michael, inform your father that we have found his trace but not news about him.

-Why me?

Says the man with protest.

-Your father is the beta, it's better if you inform your father instead our alpha that we haven't found his son.

-f**k that is your job you are our superior, freckles...

Answers the other woman mocking her.

Answers the man rolling his eyes.

-Urg!

The blonde woman rolled her eyes and started eating while the man went out to call his father.

Zathustra lose her appetite at the sight of them, she hates wolves, the witch see them as a pack of rabid dogs.

This small town makes things easy for her.

The wolf that is staying with the young witch seems that is an alpha. She must be careful, she still needs to know what is happening here to act and above everything she needs to get the order about how she must proceed.

Zathustra leaves the cafe but not before she gives Ryan orders to obtain more information from them.

The wolves end their lunch and drives to the recent places were Angel's scent lead them. They choose first to go to the hotel and take the opportunity to also check in.

When in there they ask for two bedrooms. The receptionist seems kind of out off place, lately they have been having many visitors and it's normal since the town gets vacationers that goes to the lake but that's on spring time. This people are no vacationers, first the ridiculous handsome hot guy that got enchanted by the witch, then the beautiful and elegant but really strange lady that come some days before, and then this people and they bring no luggage, two ridiculous beautiful women and this tall guy well build with exotic charm. The receptionist was speechless at the sight of this people.

-We have the 403 and the 406. Here are your keys.

Says the receptionist handing them the keys.

-Thanks.

Answer the man

-By the way... Paty... In fact we are here to meet a friend, you see he came some days ago but I think his phone broke. Does it happens that have you see him? His name is Angel Slora, tall guy baby face...

-Shut up Michael, if you describe him like that we never gonna get some answers. He has brown hair beautiful blue eyes he calls so much the attention, he came here around the weekend.

-Yes I remember him, he was staying at the 403.

-Yes he came about a week ago to register and four days ago he came again to check out.

-Did he went out of town then.

-I wasn't here when he came so I can't give you much answers but people say that he is living with her at her cabin.

-Mmh... no one ever go to those places... she lives close to the river down the road.

The group heads to the lift to their rooms.

-A witch? Angel and a witch? There's something odd here.

Says the blond woman.

-I gonna take a shower and then we must head to that cabin.

-Yeah me too, see you in 20 minutes.

This wolves came here yesterday at down they thought it'll just take them some hours. But as wolves they are they always got exchange of clothing at hand.

They parked to a side of the road and follow the faint trace of their leader and, then nothing it vanished they keep walking some hours 'till they found the lake but they check and they were far from the river they never got close to that place. Puzzled they decided to return there's something in there that doesn't allow them to get closer, now they are concerned seems it's a witch doing after all.

Once they where in the hotel room they decided to inform about the situation to their alpha but also they need some answers, so they choose to stay and learn about the witch that lives close the river and as they can't get closer Angel might come soon.

After two days they were unease, people say that she makes potions for some of her clients, that she made a girl end at the hospital and give nightmares to others, that sound wicked. But some others say that she is not, that people it's paranoic and she is a good person that have save some lives. Another rumors came to theirs ears that a guy knows her and it happens that is Angel's friend. So they went to see Sam.

Sam was confused. Angel rarely talked about his friends and family from his hometown.

-Yeah he came here some days ago, he was supposed to fix his phone but I haven't see him since then.

-Do you know the women that is with him?

-Yes again, she is a good girl. You don't need to worry I'm more concerned about her, I know how Angel treats woman and she is someone especial, what people say around here of her it's not true.

-Can you go take a visit to him?

-I can't today, I have an appointment with my wife's doctor, it's important. But tomorrow I can take you there.

The three persons sitting in front of his desk looked at each other.

-I would love to.

Answers the red haired woman.

-Ok. Tomorrow at 6pm.

They left and decided to wait to give some news to their alpha it's not easy to bring a rescue team and the bond that they have with Angel doesn't give them a bad feeling so, they know he is fine. Russel, Michael's father ask them every morning about their whereabouts and they never included the fact that Angel might be with a witch, that would mean that hundred warriors would be here at any minute.
