Chapter Six I wake, jerking upright in a second, my face cold and wet. “You don’t hear me the first time when I call you, a glass of water does the trick every time.” Ian greets my grumbling frown with a grim smile. I jump to my feet, only to have him grabbing my hair and yanking me toward a row of bridles and harnesses lining one of the barn’s walls. I see my own harness amongst the rest. A quick reminder. I am just another animal to him. Would Benjamin think that too? As expected, Ian plucks from the wall the maze of leather straps and chains that I wore underneath my clothes when I arrived.
