I was in the hallway, heading back to the kitchen to get my phone that I had forgotten there, when I ran into Barão. We bumped into each other and I almost fell. He caught me and leaned me against the wall. Our eyes met and, before I realized it, his mouth was already on mine.
I was paralyzed for a second, not knowing what to do. But then, I started to respond, a bit hesitantly, but genuinely. The kiss was gentle, full of emotions I didn't even know were there. When we parted, I had my eyes half-closed, breathing deeply, trying to understand what had just happened.
“Barão…” I started to speak, still breathless.
“Sorry, Larissa. I just... couldn't help myself,” he confessed, and I could see that his heart was racing as much as mine.
