The poolside was transformed into a magical realm with twinkling fairy lights and glowing lanterns, casting a mesmerizing glow over the water. The night air was warm and still, accompanied only by the gentle lapping of the pool water and the distant chirping of crickets. Under the full moon's bright glow, a lone girl stood by the pool's edge, her elegant gown flowing in the gentle breeze. She was breathtakingly beautiful, her long hair cascading down her back in soft waves. She looked like she belonged in another era, with her classic beauty and elegant demeanour. She stood there, lost in thought, her eyes scanning the quiet pool as if searching for something. This enchanting figure was none other than Eva Slayer. She had discreetly sent a waiter to summon Maxwell without revealing her identity, instructing him to say, "Ma'am is calling you near the pool." Maxwell, puzzled, scanned the party but couldn't find Ira. Following the waiter's guidance, he headed towards the pool. As Eva nervously waited by the pool, her carefully planned moment arrived. However, doubts crept in, and she began to feel unsure of herself. Just then, she heard footsteps approaching. Taking a deep breath, she turned to face Maxwell, thinking, 'Today I'm gonna close your chapter forever, Iraa!' Max, seeing a girl with her back turned, halted at a distance and asked in a cold voice, "Who are you, and what are you doing here?" Eva, maintaining her composure, hoped for a sweeter tone but faced Max's escalating anger. When Max exclaimed, "Who the hell are youuuu!!," Eva, scared, finally revealed herself. "Hey Maxwell…" "You called me here???" "Max, I have something to tell you." Max looked at her curiously, his eyes searching her face. "What is it?" he asked. Eva took a step closer to him, her heart beating faster with every passing moment. Her voice barely above a whisper. "I love you." Max's eyes widened in surprise, and Eva could see the shock on his face. She knew that he had never expected her to say those words to him, and she could feel the tension building between them. Eva took another step closer to him, her eyes locked on his. "Max," she said, her voice growing stronger. "I love you more than anything in this world. I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Max looked at her, his eyes filled with anger. "What the fuckkk!!!" Eva reached out and took his hand, holding it tightly. "Max," she said. "I know that this is sudden, but I want you to know that I'm serious. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to grow old with you, to share everything with you." She said and came closer to kiss his lips. Max's face turned red as he clenched his fists, his eyes narrowing in anger. His breathing became heavy and laboured as he struggled to control his temper. His voice was low and menacing as he spoke through gritted teeth, his words dripping with anger. He looked like a volcano on the verge of eruption, ready to unleash his fury at any moment. He pushed Eva by the hand she was holding. As Eva tearfully begged and threatened self-harm, Max's face contorted with anger and frustration. He couldn't fathom why she had orchestrated such a dramatic scene. As she continued to plead, her words took a toxic turn. "Max, I'll die if you don't say yes. You can't be with that b***h Ira. I love you. Marry me," Eva implored, her desperation fueling a spiteful tone. "The girl you just called a b***h is my childhood best friend, not someone like you. Get out or I'll call the guards," Max retorted, his patience wearing thin. But Eva persisted, her words venomous, "Max, I want you. I can't stand seeing you with that b***h. We'll live happily ever after. Marry me..." Max, unable to tolerate the insults toward Ira, snapped, "Enough! I don't want to hear your nonsense. I've told you a million times – if I say no, that means no. Don't waste your time on me!" As Eva persisted again, inching closer to kiss him, Max's anger reached its peak. He forcefully pushed her away, his voice low and menacing, "How dare you touch me again? When I've already rejected you in university, what's the use of creating this scene at my home?" Eva, now on the floor, continued her emotional plea, "I'll die, Max. I'll kill myself! Please say yes..." "I don't care!" Max yelled, turning away from her. Eva's face crumpled as she burst into tears, shoulders shaking with sobs. Despite her emotional outburst, Max remained resolute. "Listen, Eva. I've told you a million times. If I say no, that means no. So, don't waste your time on me!" Max reiterated, his frustration palpable. "I'll die, Max... I'll kill myself!!!" Eva's desperate plea echoed, but Max, unmoved, left her kneeling on the floor. The scene left Eva defeated and broken, her tear-streaked face reflecting the aftermath of her ill-fated confession. After some time, she picked herself up, called her driver, and left Clayton's mansion. The poolside, once aglow with romance, now stood silent and empty. The fairy lights and lanterns continued to cast their magical glow, but the atmosphere had shifted, leaving behind a sense of melancholy. As the night wore on, Max remained in his study, contemplating the implications of Eva's revelation. His emotions ranged from frustration to confusion, and he couldn't shake the feeling that the tranquility of the night had been disrupted. Ira, unaware of the dramatic events, continued to bask in the afterglow of the dance. Her mind danced with thoughts of Max and the enchanting evening they shared. However, a subtle doubt crept into her thoughts as she pondered Max's true feelings. 'Do u feel the same for me Max as i do??'
