Waking up on an private island so close to the sea was a dream come true... it wasn't even something on my bucket list but I was glad I had the opportunity to experience it.
I had gone to sleep with the large windows open and the blinds pulled aside, so I had a perfect view of the sun peeking over the horizon on the water, the skies a kaleidoscope of colours.
I moved the sheets aside and got out of bed, stretching before making my way to the window, I could hear the sounds of waves crashing against the shore and the rustling of leaves of the palm trees.
