What did he just say? I thought. My head was spinning. And my heart was racing. As I stare at him, I realize I have heard something like this in my dreams many times. However, my dream friend was looking for his mate. Mates belong to the magical community of shape-shifters. Shape-shifters are people who can transform into anything. Though some could change into one thing. Those who do are called were creatures. People who can turn into animals. And one animal only. The powers that be believe shape shifters should be blessed with one soulmate. If not, a second one if they so choose to. However, most shapeshifters would just die if their soulmate hadn't been found. Or if their first soulmate died suddenly, they would just live the rest of their lives alone. And from this man's outburst, I'm his! And I don't even know who he is! It was getting to be too much. So I asked if I could be excused to find the bathroom. And in a flash, the man came over to me. "I can take you," he says softly. His marvelous silver blue eyes pour into me and I find myself completely lost in them. I mean the man himself wasn't too bad to look at either. He was partically fine as hell! He smiled at me, and my heart skipped a beat. I felt my cheeks flush and I could feel myself blushing. I nodded and he led me to the bathroom. During our walk, I studied his features. He had dark hair and a muscular build. The skin on his face was tan, and his jawline was strong. His beard was that of the five o'clock style and it was a bit scuffed. Indicating that he's a laid back kind of guy. He was also tall and had broad shoulders. We continued walking for several minutes and I noticed he kept glancing at me. "I can't believe it's you," he smiled. I raised an eyebrow. His voice sounded very familiar. "Have we met before your highness?" I asked bluntly. "Please don't call me that." He said. "But I'm surprised that you don't recognize my voice." I suddenly stop in my tracks. "You can't be..." I say. He turns and looks at me. "Recognize me now princess?" He asks stepping close to me. "You're him from my dreams," I whispered in shock. After all this time, the man I constantly talk to about anything and everything is right in front of me. And he's a prince! Somehow, the closer he gets to me, the weaker I become. His aura takes over all my senses. He leans closer to my ear and whispers "You're very lovely. Even more than I could imagine." I try to move away but my feet won't move. I could see him sniffing the air. "You smell delicious my adorable princess." He said with a deeper voice. Then he suddenly comes back to my neck and starts placing kisses all over me. And wraps his arms around me pulling me even closer. "We can skip dinner and go straight to dessert," he whispered. "I don't think that would be...'' Before I even got to finish he placed his lips onto mine and kissed me passionately, hungrily, like he had never kissed anyone before. And I kissed him back! Suddenly, the strangest sensation took over my body. And I wanted more. I needed more. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him closer. Our bodies intertwined and I felt a deep connection. I felt alive. "Your highness," someone called in the distance. He groans and pulls away. And he looks up. His face became enraged. "What the hell are you doing here?" He shouted. Down the long hallway was a bewitching mocha-skinned woman wearing a dark grey dress and diamond jewelry, seductively walking towards us with her head held high but her eyes cutting daggers at me. She looked familiar but I couldn't place where I'd seen her before. The prince pushes me behind him protectively as she gets closer. And blocks her from me. "Baby, we're missing dinner," she said with a smirk. She caught me looking at her and suddenly, she too became enraged. "What the hell are you doing here Angel?" She roared. From her voice I could now tell it was Ianira, the daughter of Morgana II. I backed away slowly, unable to answer her question. Ianira's face was contorted in a rage as she advanced towards me. I had to get away, and fast. If I don't, we're fighting. And I can't. Not this time. I tried looking for a door. So I can create a portal. The prince looks back at me and quickly grabs my hand. "Please don't run away," he begged. Ianira tried to get the prince's attention but he ignored her. "I'm sorry about her," he said. "Let me take care of her and I'll be right back my angel." "Just please, don't run away." He turned to Ianira and fear showed across her face. She was worried that he was going to leave her behind and she didn't want him to go. She knew that without him, she wouldn't be able to protect herself. The last time we fought she nearly died. And I don't want to kill her this time. He roughly grabs Ianira by the forearm and turns her around. "Mary was sent to deal with you. Don't do this again!" The prince roared. "Now go!" Ianira wanted to protest. However, a menacing growl reverberated throughout the entire castle. "Great, now grandpa knows you're here." The prince sighed. He shakes his head. And rushes back over to me. "Did you still need the bathroom?" He asked softly. "Yes," I replied. I really needed to clear my head. He continued to walk me down the hallway and we came to the bathroom. It was beautiful. The royal bathroom was a grand and opulent space, fit for a king, adorned with luxurious marble, sparkling chandeliers, and plush golden towels. There were even beds and closets for clothes if they wanted to change in there. "I'll be outside if you need me," the prince said. He closed the door and I released a breath. "What the hell is happening?" I asked myself. The kiss was completely out of character. And my body! I could still feel the heat that rose within me and try to put some cold water on my face to cool down. I had no idea what was going on. I felt like I was out of control. I had to figure out what to do. "Angel dear," my mom calls me telepathically. "Yes mother," I replied. "Are you OK my dear?" she asked. "To be honest mama I'm not." I confessed. "What's wrong?" she asked. I hesitated to answer. How could I tell my mother that the prince and I nearly ripped our clothes off in the hallway? And now Ianira is here. I took a deep breath and said, "It's a long story." "I want to hear it," she said, her voice soft and comforting. I swallowed, took a deep breath and said, "I'm scared." "Don't be my love," my mom said. "I know this is new and it's happening so fast." "But we'll explain everything to you dear. Just please don't run away." Don't run away she says I thought. But I'm not used to being this way. I'm not used to being out of control of my emotions. And for some reason the feeling of needing him is creeping up again. The heat was uncontrollably rising in my body. My breathing became heavier. Between my legs my honeypot became tighter. I felt my heart racing and my head spinning. I could feel the electricity between us and I knew that I had to stay and face it. Before I could even open the door, the prince came in. His face was filled with worry and lust. "Are you OK?" He asked softly. He reached for me and my first instinct was to pull away but my feet stayed in place. "I'm sorry about coming on so strongly, my wolf sort of took over and we both couldn't help ourselves." He said rubbing my cheek. "It's OK," I say softly. "I don't know what came over me either." "We shared a bond beautiful." The prince smiled. Of course I thought. How could I forget the wolves' mate's bond? Whenever a shifter is mated to someone they have a bond. They can feel each other. But that's only when they're marked. When they are fully marked and mated they become one with each other. But why am I feeling this now? I had to be mistaken. I wasn't marked yet. But I could feel the bond. Searching for my eyes, the prince could see that I was a little afraid. So he planted a kiss on my forehead. "What's on your mind beautiful?" He asked. "That we should probably head back to dinner your highness." I say. "Rowan." "Huh?" "My name is Rowan." Rowan. In my mind, it felt amazing. I repeated it out loud, savoring the sound. I was relieved to finally have a name for a gorgeous face. Rowan smiled at me, too relieved. And as much as I wanted to throw myself at him we really should get going to figure out what's going on. Without saying the word, he took my hand and walked me out of the bathroom. As we walked, I could feel the electricity between us. Again, his strong aura dominated. "Oh no not again." I mumbled. I quickly snatched away from him. "I can't do this," I panicked. Rowan quickly pulls me into this chest. "It's okay," he says softly. "I got you my love." As soon as his aura toned down I started to relax a bit. "Your aura is so strong Prince Rowan." I blurted out. "Please call me Rowan," he begged. "And I'm sorry. We both got excited again. But I'll tone it down for you." We stood there in the hallway until I calmed down. Suddenly, I felt danger. "Someone's here," I said. "I know. I feel them too." Rowan says holding me closer. "Angel. Rowan. Stay where you are!" My grandmother Agatha yelled. "Grandma, what's going on?" I asked. "Don't worry dear. But I'm going to have to take you home." she replied. We were joined by my grandmother who teleported next to us. Rowan and I followed her out of the castle. Koji was spotted out front. "Take them back to Angel's place and keep them there." Grandma Agatha ordered. Koji nodded. He takes us and opens a portal. We step in and we are in the living room. "Koji, what's going on?" I asked. "You're in danger kid." He replied. "From who?" I asked. "Not really sure but this is something we should have told you a long time ago." Koji sighs but notices Rowan who tensed up the moment I step closer to Koji. "You don't want to go there kid." Koji smirked. "You may be an Alpha wolf but I'm much more than that." Rowan raises an eyebrow. "Who are you?" Rowan asked. Koji's eyes changed color and his aura rose dramatically. "I'm a prince of dragons." "And I'm Angel's familiar."
