PROLOGUE
“Mikasa, you were traumatized.”
“We didn’t lie to you. You lied to yourself.”
I-i lied to myself?
“You told yourself a story, because you were traumatized.”
H-how? How did this happen?
I covered my ears
“You were too scared- too scared to think about the gunshots. Your Father.”
“You were young- too young to have experience that.”
“We wanted to tell you the truth about your Father, but we couldn’t find a way to open the topic.”
Bang!
“Mikasa, watch out!”
Huh?
I opened my eyes and saw a guy a few meters from me pointing a gun at me.
Everything was in slow motion, I didn’t know what to do.
The unexpected turn of events was making my mind confused.
The lies. The secrets. Why are they doing this?
I suddenly felt something wet on my chest.
I looked at my chest and saw blood.
I felt numb, everything seemed quiet.
And just like that, I fell to the ground. I could feel that a pool of blood was forming around me and soaking my clothes with blood.
“Mikasa,” someone called. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t protect you. Please, stay with me.”
