Chapter 14: Grand plan

1383 Words
It's been exactly 1 hour and 39 minutes since Adriel was knocked off after Arion taught her a lesson that he can defeat her without using magic by striking her guts with the weight of his downward force. Mostly his Mechanical Exoskeleton actually did the trick. Unbeknownst of what happened after losing, she opened her eyes and found out she was back inside her office. It was situated just behind the Guildhall for her to reduce time walking long-distances considering her original home was at the deepest part of Moonlight Forest, outskirts of Althas Kingdom. But not only Adriel realized she's back in her homeplace, and rather she discovered the soft pillows she kept tugging while she's soundly sleeping was none other Arion's lap. This entire time, she was sleeping on a man's lap without knowing it. "Wah?!" Adriel immediately moved away and crouched at the corner of the sofa. She was covering her face with her long white hair while intently staring at him. "What a nice home you got here," Arion remarked. They were on the second floor of her office. Aside from the comfy two sofas placed near the left corner and next to the door, there were also shelves around the right corner of the room filled with academic books and some novels in it. One queen-sized bed right in the middle of the room, a medieval desk right next to it that's tidied up despite documents and parchments were scattered above it, and the wooden chair perfect for perching completes its setup. The two casement windows opened are giving off the mild warmth of sunrays as the slight gust of wind creates the feeling of truly owning a home. Arion's not having homesickness or anything and on the bright side enjoys what he owns right as of this moment. "You see this office right now? This is mine and there's nothing you could do about it." He sounded very confident nailing it off right of the bat. The surprise expression Adriel was having was replaced by doubt and bewilderment. She showed her true colors and peered straight through his eyes gazing his soul directly. There was no such agreement made upon when they dueled. No way of arguing back to him since she was defeated, she just bit her lower lip and shamelessly struggled for her rights. "Don't get ahead of yourself degenerate! Our compromise for the losing side was to serve the winning side, not owning their property!" She raised her voice knowing her everything is at stake. "Isn't that just the same? You are mine now and everything here and this entire two-story house building shall be under the right of my possession." Arion actually had his point. But there's no way Adriel could let it slide and accept someone just owned her house for a pathetic duel. "No, you don't! Even if you're holding my life or my body just to sate your naughty desires, I don't care! Just let me get ahold of my personal belongings, nothing more, nothing less." She began sweating after she voiced out her inner heart. The way she was just trembling at the edge of the sofa while having the fear of losing she worked up was something unsightly for Arion as he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable. And at the same time, she must learn that being oppressed is serious and it proves people hate it if ever it happened to them. Putting her in a physiological test, he held the collar of her robed and grabbed it forcefully, and then he drove her on the bed with tidied quilt. Notwithstanding what he just did, he stared at her crimson eyes depicting the beauty of a velvet moon. No man ever touched her as she was above others and no one dared to even talk to her, yet right at that moment, Adriel can hear her heart beating so loudly that she can't look back at him. She tried resisting and was about to slap him on the face when Arion grabbed her arm further pushing him on the bed. It was the first time she's alone with a man inside her personal room. No one was there and even Lilith was nowhere to be found. Which means he can do anything he desired and not a single soul shall help him, solely because she was devastatingly defeated by a random teenager who can't even use magic "If I owned you by taking away your chastity... does that mean I shall own a portion of your stuff?" Arion's face and disheveled black hair have captivated her feelings. Aside from his overwhelming knowledge, he truly had the appearance that can rival famous male models back on earth. "No... but if you wanted to own me, I won't mind..." Adriel's left hand which she's concurrently using to on Arion's wrist suddenly became softer. She's not even resisting anymore and went with the flow driven by emotions. Now that they were both stuck in a sticky situation where a single push will lead them from crossing the line, he was forced from taking drastic measures as did not expect she could react to the opposite of what he anticipated. "Well... I..." An intangible thorn rose up within his mouth. The dreadful sin known as the lust was thrusting on together with his adrenaline rush kicking in. What's worse was the fact Adriel's left hand was tugging his body towards her embrace and thing's going haywire when someone turned the knob of the door. Arion launched himself towards the comfy sofa and Adriel pretends to lounge on her bed. It turns out Lilith entered the room carrying a tray tea set. The aroma of chamomile and honey blended together was undoubtedly mind calming. She placed it above the desk where it won't be spilled by anyone. Since they were so silent and now one's breaking the unusual mood between the three, Arion decided to put up the speech card that he has been keeping. "What you did to Lilith was reprehensible and unforgivable. But I know for sure she can forgive you, so please, apologize now." He quickly changed the topic and addressed the real issue. "Don't worry... I'm used to it." Lilith was rolling her sideburns using her index fingers. She must be worried and doesn't want to incur Adriel's wrath. However, Lilith was surprised when Adriel stood in front of her and bowed down with respect in tow. "I'm sorry... it was my fault." Not knowing how to properly react, that was the first time someone has apologized for what they did to her. "I'm sorry too..." Lilith just kind of apologizes if ever Adriel's apology was a forced excuse. "By the way, you're an alchemist, right? Show me to your workshop later. I'm gonna need some fresh air." Arion told and after he saw Adriel nod, he shot and went off closing the door as fast as possible. "He's gone now. Don't ever get ahead of me, fire witch." She was wearing her displeased countenance, meaning, her apology wasn't genuine. Lilith knew that was the case since she knew there's no way the Jade Princess herself would be magnanimous enough to do an apology if she can fake it out. Right after Arion got out of the room, the ticking clockwork on his carapace began rotating faster than her heart. He almost died of shock under extreme stimulation. "What the hell... I'm a virgin and I did some cocky moves there. This is bad, I hate lust amongst the seven deadly sins..." Arion desired to teach Adriel a lesson and his decisive moves were just an act for the show. He didn't know such contingency was possible and acted beyond what he could control. "I'm concerned for Lilith's well being since she's carrying a burden, and I still need to start inventing weapons and figure out why I got reincarnated here. Plus, thankfully I somehow have control of an alchemist's workshop." He was talking to himself while being complacent on Adriel's belongings. Things were afoot and his plans are set, Arion now began commencing the plan he conceived just seconds ago. The first goal on his grand plan was for him to fully understand the concept of this magical world, and he's also aware a good relationship with his newfound companions should be focused if things go unwell. "All right! I'm sure my inventing ideas will skyrocket once I fathom the word known as magic."
