I honestly thought I would never escape. I count have been more wrong. "Jocelyn," dammit I thought I would have a little more time to myself."Jocelyn, get your ass over here, now." When I was my father charging towards me, I saw red and quickly crouched down eyes to the floor. It was easier than standing learnt that the hard way. I felt him kick my side, i expected him to continue until I was flat on the floor and begging him to stop, but he didn't. He had his fists clenched at his side, and through gritted teeth demand, I get started on dinner now or else. I couldn't believe it was already 5pm no wonder he was angry. I got straight to the kitchen and got started preparing the vegetables. My younger brother only likes cauliflower and potatoes, with parents also wanting sweet potatoes and corn. Tonight will be lamb chops, I just hope I can get everything done by 6 pm. Whilst everything was cooking, I set the table for three, the beta, and his family won't be here tonight. I can smell the lamb chops seasoning. Salivating on food I will never get is not wise, but I can't help it. I just hope I will get the omegas leftovers. Omgeas are normal pack members, by the way. Sasha is our head cook for the main floor and sometimes brings me some leftovers when my family is asleep. "Well, is dinner ready yet?" says ny younger brother Ryan he just turned 18. Yes, I just need to serve it up. "Well, get on with it then." I plated up everyone food and put them at the places on the table and started to wash up. When I finally managed to clean everything, i went back to my room. I lived in the attic, and it got pretty drafty, but I managed to snag an old blanket and use old clothes for a pillow. I got lucky tonight, no beatings, I thought that was going to change when I heard someone enter the attic, but then I smelt them it was a rogue, how on earth did a rogue get up here? Before I could move, they injected me with something, and everything went black.
When I woke, I seemed to be. I'm some kind of shack, and I realised I couldn't feel the pack anymore. The link was severed, which I left pack lands without permission. How on earth did I get here, and who took me? "You're awake. Good, we need to talk. I try yo sit up, but buckle expecting to fall back; I feel a hand on my back helping sit up. "Careful, you might still understand the effects of the drug, sorry, but we had to drug you get you out safely." It's still dark as I strain my eyes to see a woman close to my age with long, thick, wavy red hair and very familiar light green eyes. The same eyes as my father, she looked nothing like him though but those eyes."My name is Rosamund, but you can call me Ros." Rosamund, my cousin Rosamund? Yeah, that would be me. She gives me a small smile. Where are we, how did we get here, and where are we going? All good questions, but we only stopped here for a break. we need to get moving. We need to get to the Bad Lands she said. The Bad lands? but that's on the other side of the Royal Lycans territory. I know it's a long way to go, but it's the safest place Lucien and Silas can't get to us there she said. Silas, as in alpha Silas of Nightscape pack. What does he want with us? She looked away from me. There was something in her eyes that told me not to ask again.
When it came time to leave, it was daybreak. I can't shift due to my malnutrition and wolfspane still in my system, so I climbed onto Ros's wolf.I may have forgotten to mention I was also injected with wolfspane regularly for as long as I can remember I can feel my wolf but that's it have spoken to her at all since my first shift. I hope that I will be able to talk more to Ros when we get to the Bad Lands. We have only a few hours, so we need to keep a steady quick pace said Ros. I could feel her pick up the pace and hold on tight so I don't fall. It was amazing watching the trees turn into a blur, feeling the fresh air on my face. I couldn't help but be excited and thrilled to be free.
Ros Pov
As we ran through the surrounding forests, I wondered what I would tell Jocelyn. There was so much that she should know. My father Mance used to be the Alpha of Nightscape, but then Silas attacked it was never the same after that. Jocelyn, it should only be another hour to the Royal pack border and could feel she was having a hard time sitting up on me, but hopefully, we will manage. I can do it, don't worry said Jocelyn. I hear the determination in her voice. If you're sure, I am she reaffirmed.
