New Season Ahead

While been interviewd by the press, Bryan was given the Mom award (man of the match award)

Bryan was being interviewed by the press.

Mr Bryan how do you feel about scoring your Debut Goal in your first match for the team.

Bryan replied saying I could not have done it without the team.

So how do you feel winning the match today.

He said, I feel great, I mean this is the first match I have played and we have won it, this is the first step we have taken towards winning our other matches and the championship.

OK how do you feel about winning the MOM award (man of the match award)

He replied saying, first of all I am surprised caused the man of the match award should have gone to our team captain cause he put in more efforts than any of is, but I guess everyone sees me as the star of the match today .

OK thank you Mr Bryan I hope we see more of this football in the championships and hopefully in the nationals.

The day ended and they made their way back home.

Coach gave them a word before they left saying, You have all performed well today but this is far from perfect. This will not take us to the nationals and not to mention winning the championships.

I hope you all dwell on this and see you tomorrow.

They all left as Bryan, Miles and Ryan walk their way home.

Miles kept rambling on about his goal.

Did you see me? I was like an eagle in the sky surpassed all and make a superb goal, if it was not for me we would not have won.

Bryan and Ryan looked at each other as they laughed.

Yes Miles you were the best out there and keep scoring more for me. Ryan said.

Bryan replied Miles was actually a good tool out there and a game changer.

They all chatted as they went separate ways home.

The next day at the training field.

Coach spoke to them.

Your Academics is also a major part of this so don't forget that you are still in school. The season will start by the end of the Academic session and by then you have to have a pass in your exams to be able to make the season.

Your schedule will be tight so you have to do well both on the pitch and In the school, by which I mean your Academics.

I have hired a training coach for you

Everyone meet Mr Cheng, a former Chinese American footballer.

They all paid their respects and greeted Mr Cheng.

Mr cheng is here to give you a two weeks training for now and two weeks before the season starts.

To determine how prepared you are for the season, Danielle will take charge of that.

They all looked surprised as they asked them selves who Danielle was

The coach continued ohhh I am sorry it was my mistake for not telling you what our club manager name was her name is Danielle and she will be recording your performances.

Mr cheng took over and said this following week will be your first week of training and it will be the basics of football but in my style, too improve your physicality, speed, pace and accuracy.

Lest I forget these test will be recorded in ranks and from the highest level to the lowest, the high ranked will make the team for half of the season except due to some unexpected challenges and the lowest will remain on bench for the half season. This will be very competitive and is also a chance for the newbie to show them selves and snatch the first team.

Your training starts next week so be prepared.

They all sighed as they left the field

Bryan was very optimistic about the training and kept asking Ryan if they had this type of experience.

Ryan replied, are you so out of line that you can't remember I joined last semester.

Miles laughed and said, he is not out of line he is out of his mind.

Bryan said how about we stop talking nonsense and have dinner together.

They went to a nearby restaurant named "The Kitchen"

To their surprised as they got inside they saw their club manager having dinner.

Miles was optimistic and said let's join her for dinner.

Ryan replied are you that courageous that she would allow you to join her for dinner, you haven't heard the saying that the most dangerous women are the most queit ones.

Bryan said, I don't think it would hurt to just say hello.

Ryan felt so shocked and said, hmmm are you also. Scoff I keep my comment.

Miles hugged Bryan saying for the first time in my entire life you have supported me.

Bryan pushed him away saying why are you so emotional it is just a formal greeting.

They were on their way to her table when Ryan stopped them and said I think she is waiting for someone.

Bryan pushed away is hand saying are you scared. Ryan replied It looks like you have an ulterior motive.

Bryan smirked and said yes I do.

Ryan asked, tell me.

Miles then said don't leave me out of the picture.

Bryan sat them down on a table afar and said if we can get the club manager to speak out and get friendly with her we stand a chance to ask her about the test and how they are grading us for it so we can prepare ahead.

Ryan said ohhh that sounds like a good idea.

Miles replied why did i not think of this

They went over to her table and asked if they can sit.

She kept quiet and pointed to the chair.

Ryan thought in his head, oh man this gives me the creeps like what if we fail or what if she reduces our ranks for this, I can't be on bench for this New Season Ahead.
