NEW LOVE

CHAPTER FOUR – MEET AND GREET

Zamantha and Zerah have been waiting for this day for a long time, indeed the first day of their five year journey, alas the day has come their orientation day.

ZAMANTHA’S POV

Oh God, I hope I meet new people who matter to me in my life, to get good friends and to have a good day.

Zerah and Zamantha, had already planned their orientation day, both of them have stitched for themselves two pair of suits from Armani. Both of them got up from sleep early in the morning, without any hurry they changed into their suits. As they got suited, they could see themselves as attorneys. It was indeed a blessed moment. Zerah being the emotional one at heart, tears rolled out of her eyes. Zamantha consolidated her and they booked a cab and the cab drove them to their university. As soon as the cab entered the premises of the campus, Zamantha and Zerah was so excited that both of them went numb and they were staring the building as soon as the cab stopped at the main entrance. As soon as they got out of the cab, a group of young and charming set of students greeted them and welcomed them to the campus. Two of them accompanied Zam and Zerah to the auditorium where the orientation was about to begin.

ZERAH’S POV

Wow this place smells so amazing, I think it is lavender.

She could see her seniors coordinating everything and setting everything , Zam and Zerah walked together and they sat in the direction of a board that was written “ YEAR 1 – BATCH A “. Both of them sat on the seats that were assigned for them. An announcement was made that caught every ones attention. A girl well dressed and with a pleasant smile stood on the podium and announced,

WELCOME MY DEAR FRIENDS , TODAY IS THE NEW DAY ON WHICH YOU ALL ARE GOING TO EMBARK A JOURNEY TO REACH YOUR DREAM WHICH TO BECOME AN ATTORNEY AND I SURE THAT THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA WILL BE VERY MUCH OBLIGED TO GIVE YOU A PLATFORM TO ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS . THE ORIENTATION WILL BE COMMENCING SOON.

The anchors of the day got onto the stage and they were reassuring whether the sound system was alright. Zam and Zerah were busy meeting their new friends. They were talking to those people who were sitting nearby, that’s when Zam met Ameen, she was a pure soul with a beautiful smile, and Zam was quietly observing all the people around her and smiling like an i***t.

The orientation commenced , but what got Zam’s attention was a boy who was sitting right next to her , he was quite different from others , he was all happy around, the vibe that he gave out was like as if he already knew the place. He gave handshake to all the seniors and he was enjoying the whole orientation, while all of us were sacred awaiting for the day.

The orientation was good, Zam and Zerah had almost got into new friendships. But it was the time to depart so both of them bid goodbye to their new friends and they got into a cab and the cab took them to their apartment. Meanwhile in the car Zam was lost in her own thoughts, Zerah enquired what it was.

Zam said, “Zerah today I saw a guy, he was weird, he was different from others.”

Zerah said,” Oh someone is in love “

Zam shouted back ,” oh please Zerah can you please shut up , it is not like that , I just told that he was different that’s it . Please don’t let your imagination work.”

Zerah was smiling as she was giving Zam those naughty looks.

The cab reached their apartment, they got out and rushed back to their apartments as they were too tired for the day. Zerah headed straight away into the shower, while Zam switched on the T.V.

After the shower, both of them laid down on their beds, Zamantha was still thinking and Zerah could easily sense it.

Zerah said, “You know what Zam, you’re a loud thinker.

Zam said, “Zerah I can’t get that guys weir attitude from my head, he seemed very weird.

Zerah yelled back. “ you and your weirdness . I’m going to sleep, too tired for your drama man. Good night.

Zam also with a mysterious voice said,” good night zee- e -rah “

They both slept dreaming of the first day of their class which is tomorrow.
