CHAPTER TWO - FAREWELL AMIGOS

ZERAH’S POV

Days have gone, it’s already December, and our classes will be starting in a few days. How fast did this two months go by, Zamantha is already tensed about moving into a new town and settling down in there.

ZAMANTHA’ S POV

15 days from today me and Zerah will be in a new city busy building a career in law, meeting new peers and having fun.

Zerah! It’s high time that we throw a farewell party to our friends here in California, since we are going to be not here for a long time, said Zamantha

With a nod Zerah added by saying that, let’s throw them a pool party.

Zamantha opened her Watsapp group titled “AMIGOZ “and she typed in

Pool part at our place on 2nd of December @ 7 pm, be there. Theme for the party will be red and black.

As soon as she sent in the message her inbox was filled with thumbs up emoji’s and smileys. Zerah and Zamantha was excited for the day after tomorrow with was the 2nd of December. Both of them got up and jotted down a list of thing that they needed for the party.

That day went by , next day both of them got dressed and went out for party shopping , the went into the nearby hypermarket to get a few paper cups and party decorations . As Zerah was going through the party section she noticed a huge chug glass.

ZAM ZAM ZAM, we must get this, since this is our last party in Ontario we must chug it out, said Zerah in excitement

Wow that’s amazing man, let’s get it, said Zamantha

They paid the bill and drove back home, Zerah carried the chug glass with utmost care as if she was holding a baby. They got in home, Zamantha got changed into her daily wears and started decorating. Zerah went into the kitchen and she was doing the dishes. And she was cooking their favourite chicken lollipop. It was already 6 pm, they hurried it all. Zamantha ran to the backyard to set up the pool area.

Both of them were busy doing their work when they heard a ring on the door, it was Sharon their classmate in their school, she got admissions into the medical university and her classes had already begun.

Zamantha opened door and welcomed Sharon in.

Here comes the medico, screamed Zerah as she came running from the kitchen.

Hey nerd what’s up, asked Zamantha

Guys stop teasing me I’m just a medico student not a doc, said Sharon as she fell into their couch

How are the classes going on, inquired Zerah?

Oh it is so tiring!! But it’s fun to be around the medical equipment and all, said Sharon and giggled

As they were talking about the things that was happening around.

The doorbell rang, Zamantha got up to see who it was.

It was their other friends,

ROMY, ADAM, ELINA, MATHEW, TWAN, GIGI OH MY GOD YOU GUYS!!! , screamed Zam

Come in come in let’s party……., said Zerah

Romy came and popped the wine bottle by telling a long speech,

Friends , Romans , Zerah , Zam , and country me , lend me your ears , after few days , come on we are going to miss you guys .

Zam and Zerah had their best days of their life as it was their last night in Ontario

Let’s go for a walk Zam, said Zerah

They both got out of the house and went out as it was their last night. Both of them absorbed the complete essence of Ontario within them so that when they miss Ontario they could just close their eyes and come back to Ontario.

The night seem longer for them as they didn’t want to leave their hometown , a place where their memories lie buried deep inside the roots of their town . Their apartment, their loved friends, their dog Minto.

Zam, I will miss being here, I will miss the me time, I will miss the me, I will miss everything, cried Zerah`

Dude you are drunk just shut up, we will fly back when we miss it, said Zam.

They came back home, saw the others sleeping and they also went into their rooms.

The night ended by their drunken dreams, both of them oblivious and they fell deep into the paths of sleep.
