Avira's Fear

I don’t know where she is headed but if she sees something that has yet to happen she is probably going to see Ashia.

Of course why didn’t I think of that.

Dmitri hung up the phone and he went out of the window and he headed to Ashia. As soon as he got to Braedon he went to her house and knocked on the door. When he didn’t get an answer he kicked the door in. As soon as he was in he found that Ashia was nowhere to be found. He went and looked in the mayor’s house and when he found it empty he didn’t know where else to look. As soon as he left the house he was met by Treznor. 

Dmitri, do you know where Avira is?

No she isn’t in the house and Ashia isn’t anywhere to be found.

All of a sudden a loud pain filled howl was heard all the way to Braedon and Tragaren. Treznor and Dmitri looked at each other and they mirrored the same expression...Terror. They knew that howl came from Avira but they didn’t know where she was. Treznor sent his entire pack out to find her and all of the hybrids and vampires went searching for her too. While all those loyal to Avira were searching for her, she was hurting in excruciating agony because she was fighting the inevitable outcome of the vision that she had. She summoned Ashia to her.

Ashia, I want you to seal me into this cave.

What do you mean Avira?

Seal me into this cave and don’t break the enchantment no matter what.

Avira tell me what is going on?

I had a vision and I will die before I allow that vision to come true.

Avira what was the vision?

I don’t remember.

Avira allow me to enter into your mind so I can see what the vision was that has you so terrified.

Ashia went over to her and she placed her middle and pointer finger on Avira’s temple and then did the same to herself. Both of their eyes turned white and they were watching the vision that made Avira fly to the floor and claw at her chest for breath.

Don’t be scared Avira. Take deep breaths and calm your heart.

All of a sudden they were in the town of Braedon and Avira was standing in front of two men, Aedrian and Dmitri. They were in a fight for her heart. Avira didn’t want this and she was trying to run and stop the fight but she was too late because instead of fighting honorably Aedrian pulled out a pistol designed to shoot wooden bullets. At the sight of the gun, Avira then shifts into her wolf and jumps to knock Dmitri out of the way but as she does, the bullet goes through her and hits Dmitri in the heart. As soon as she hits the ground, she shifts back into her human form and dives for Dmitri. Just before Dmitri turns to dust he kisses Avira.

I...lo..ve...you.

After he says that his eyes close and he turns to dust in Avira’s arms. Once Dmitri is gone, Avira’s eyes turn pitch black and slowly lifts her head and looks right at Aedrian. Aedrian shifts into his wolf thinking that he can take her now that she is weakened by the effect of losing the one that she loves. Avira slowly gets up and she shifts into her wolf and then lunges at Aedrian. 

He barely dodges her lunge and he jumps on her trying to pin her but she shakes him off of her. As soon as she has him off of her, she lunges at him again except this time she knocks him down and tears into his throat like a savage animal. Once she looks up, she sees all of her subjects looking at her with fear in their eyes. Treznor walks over to her carefully and cautiously. Once he is by her, he kneels down and places his hand on her wolf shoulder.

Avira, you need to calm down and turn back.

Avira shakes her wolf head No and then takes off running in the direction of the forest. With that Ashia snaps back to reality and so does Avira. Ashia looks at Avira and sees why she wants to be away from those she loves. Dmitri, the one who has her heart dies in her arms and she savagely murders the one who kills him.

  Mi’lady if you lock yourself away it isn’t going to stop what happened it will just change it.

Ashia, Dmitri and I may have our differences but I still love him and if I lose him I don’t know what I will do.

Mi’lady, the only way to prevent that vision is to stop Aedrian before he tries to challenge Dmitri.

I’m scared that I’ll become like I did in the vision.

Mi’lady, you won’t become that because you know how to control all of the powers.

How am I getting visions of events yet to happen?

It is called clairvoyant. It is part of the witch powers that you have.

All of a sudden they heard leaves rustle and branches snapping. Ashia got into an attack position and when she saw that it was Dmitri and Treznor she stood down.

Ashia, where is Avira?

She is in the cave.

Is she alright?

She is terrified.

Why?

She is terrified that she is going to become a monster.

What? Why?

Dmitri you know when she flew to the ground and clawed at her chest for air, that is because she had a vision of an event that is yet to pass.

Okay.

Look I think she needs some time to herself but as of right now she is very terrified. Treznor I think it should be you who talks to her.

What? Why can’t I talk to her?

The vision she had, Dmitri you were in it.
