The air around them was electrified as a crystal-type sword was released by Dylan using the incantation he chanted. Lili remains amazed at how the elves can make objects appear so easily. It was as if their magic was fully supported by nature and made them look beautiful to humans like her
It had been a long time since she had seen this since she neglected her duties as a porta to hide Alice. Her task of being a mother and having to renew Alice's memory binding magic becomes a pretty heavy effort and responsibility for her. She still remembers how much fun it was to be such a charming porta in the past
Her weight gradually decreased since Alice grew up making the magic inside her even stronger. Lili knew one day there would be a perfect time to tell her everything, but she never wanted a start like this. Carrying an elf was enough to make her nearly lose her life, especially with the abnormal strength and magic carried by the baby. If only she wasn't a porta she wouldn't be able to survive, let alone nearly losing her strength during childbirth making her weaker every year
Her thoughts continued towards Alice who left behind in a state of fear and shock. Especially after days with the person she wanted to avoid. She still couldn't forgive herself considering the hard work to keep Alice away from the entrance gate and the forest, so she asked an old porta for help just to put her daughter's magic back. Everything feels very heavy considering that the efforts seemed to be wasted
Dylan pointed his sword towards Lili's neck, for some reason he was eager to see the fear her beautiful face would bring. Unfortunately, Lili only stared back without even blinking her eyes, either because she wasn't afraid or the fact that elves couldn't hurt a human without a clear reason.
"Seeing the similarity of your determination on the verge of death, proves you are indeed a mother and child," said Dylan, lifting his lips with a smile. Lili studied the look on the boy's face in front of her carefully. They haven't seen each other for a long time and have avoided each other
"You've grown up Dylan, I'm glad you can become a strong prince," said Lili while looking at the crystal sword aimed at her neck. Dylan pulled his sword down, discovering that the woman in front of him was indeed a porta who was as fearless as it was rumored to make him smile bitterly.
"I fulfill your wish and my mother to meet, but do not think I like you"
“I also never expected that, how can a great prince want to have a good relationship with a lowly human like myself. It is not like that?" There was a cynical tone to Lili's words. Somehow Dylan found this to catch his eye
"Know your place" Dylan ended his words, waving his sword at an old tree. Lili can see the hatred towards his gaze. Slowly appeared a door with exquisite carving and a sweet smell enveloped the air around them. Somehow the dimension door always makes Lili miss her old duty. The door had not been used for a long time because not many elves had entered it in the sense of a private portal that Dylan used frequently
Lili realizes that Dylan grows up to be a powerful royal heir. Not many elves could afford to create private portal doors and only spawn them with spells. There has to be a ritual they have to live up to and most of the old elves can do that, the thoughts about how strongly Dylan was afraid her
Lili followed Dylan's steps into the portal door and found a very familiar atmosphere overcoming her feelings. The portal wasn't as dizzy as the others, she thought that Dylan was an elf who had little consideration. Because a normal portal will make an ordinary human faint, lose his memory and even die on the spot
They come out of the portal and appear in a large wooden house. Lili believes that she is on the border between Naftalie and her world. The air appeared to have weak protective magic kept the place away from being noticed. Somehow the engraved ornament made her remember Maya
They both walk inside when the door opens. Lili smells the aroma of chamomile tea spread throughout the room. She knew very well that her friend really liked to make this drink. Lili walked slowly and entered a room filled with wooden chairs and large paintings. Seen in the distance a beautiful woman walking to put a tray of drinks to a table
They stood looking at each other until a smile appeared on the face of an elf queen. "Lili ..." she said. She immediately approached and hugged her friend leaving Dylan who immediately went to the stairs to the top floor.
