Chapter Six

"Ari... I can't."

No matter how hard he tried, he could not sleep. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw her face. He couldn't sleep for anything in the world. Every night he would spend two hours in the gym. Lifting weights. Cardio exercises. He even ran five miles every night to wind down. Nothing worked. His mind kept drifting back to the night he spent with her. Chanel. Cat. She was so much fun. Getting annihilated by her at video games and listening to her tease him was the most fun he had with anyone in a long time. Watching her do her victory dance was both hilarious and stimulating. How could he have known that even though she was full figured, her body would feel so good? She was so feminine, soft and inviting.

After he realized that she was a virgin, his mind seemed like it imploded. Even though he wanted to stop, he couldn't. The more she screamed his name, the more he wanted to make her scream his name. He lay in his bed and felt himself getting hard just thinking about her and what they shared. Ari fell asleep for the first time in years in the arms of the woman with whom he just had s*x. He was in no hurry to leave the warmth of her embrace. Cat fell asleep with her arms wrapped around his waist and her head on his chest. He snuggled next to her and fell asleep with his head on hers. Never had he felt anything so right.

Ari broke so many of his own rules. He had s*x with a freaking virgin. He had s*x in his home. He allowed her to cuddle with him. He wanted to be with her. He forgot to have her sign a consent form. There were far too many mistakes made that night. Normally, he would make some excuse and escort the woman out after s*x. Ari wasn't sure why he deviated from the way he always handled these situations. He was even surprised when he woke up and she was gone. 

After looking around the house, he realized Cat wasn't there. He sat on the bed surprised by the events of the night. Man, he wanted her. As he sat on the edge of the bed, his body began to crave her. The knowledge that he was her first made him want her more. He could feel her thick thighs wrapped around his waist. In his mind, he saw her face when he first pushed himself past her resistance and realized no one had ever been there before him. Ari went to take a shower and he stayed there for hours m**********g over and over again fueled by the thought of the sweet thick chocolate dove who gave herself to him. He was exhausted when he finally left the shower.

After changing the linens on his California King sized bed, he passed out on the bed. His dreams were consumed with thoughts of her.

One day Cat was sitting in her vehicle waiting for her friend to get off when she heard someone knock on her window. Imagine her surprise when she looked and saw that it was Ari. He waved and motioned for her to roll down her window.

"How are you?" He asked.

"I'm fine." She replied without looking at him.

"Cat, I'm sorry for not contacting you. I know you've heard things about me. I'm not a good guy, but I never tried to ignore you. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to say after you disappeared and then you stopped coming into the building. I thought maybe you were upset with me." Ari explained with the cutest little smile and his dimples popping out at her. She wanted to ignore him, but something tugged at the pit of her stomach. Cat realized that she wanted him. Those damn dimples. Those blue eyes. That smile. It was far too hard to resist his charm. She felt herself becoming aroused by his presence and she was sure he was aware of his effect on her. He opened her door and coaxed her to turn around and face him.

"I'm sorry I waited so long to say something to you. I'm not accustomed to the way you make me feel." Ari positioned himself between her legs and lightly caressed her face. Cat was amazed that he was behaving this way. For some reason, she felt like he was missing her. His hands slid to either side of her face and right there for the world to see, Ari kissed her passionately. He pulled her closer to him as he drew from deep inside her. She was unaware of her arms circling around his neck or when she pulled him close enough to feel his heart racing. Their kiss was one step away from making love in the parking lot. They were lost in one another until someone rapped on the hood of the SUV.

"Hello?" Samantha was standing there with a disapproving look on her face. Ari placed one last deep kiss on her lips before he let her go.

"I'll call you." He stated as he kissed both of her hands and walked away.

"Cat. What the hell are you doing?" Her friend asked with a frown on her face.

"Sam, I know you told me not to, but It already happened." Cat replied as she drove out of the parking lot.

"What do you mean it already happened?" Sam asked her with a look of disbelief on her face. Cat focused on the road. She knew she couldn't take it back. The only thing she could do was tell the truth.

"We already did it." She continued looking at the road as she tried to avoid her friend's eyes.

"Cat, please tell me you didn't have s*x with Ari Gold?" Sam pleaded with her. There was nothing to say. If she said they didn't have s*x, she would be lying. They rode in silence. As soon as she reached the house, Samantha stormed inside the house. She went to the room where Cat had her things and began to pack her friend's things.

"What are you doing? Samantha, what's going on?" She screamed frantically.

"I told you not to get involved with him. Why didn't you listen to me?" Cat watched as the woman who she saw as her sister took her things outside and threw them on the lawn. Samantha was so angry she would not speak to Cat or look at her. What in the hell was going on? Why was her lifelong friend tripping like this?

"Samantha Marie Granger, what the f**k is going on with you? Sam stop it." Cat tried to get her to stop but Sam just continued to throw her things out. She stood there and cried because she couldn't understand what was going on with her friend.

"How could you come here and in one month get the one man I have been in love with for five years? He doesn't even like fat girls." Once she said it, Samantha realize she had gone too far. She never told Cat that she was interested in him and yet she was throwing her stuff out like her friend intentionally crossed her. When it hit Cat, it hit her really hard. Her best friend was pissed off because a beautiful successful man was interested in her fat ass and not interested in her tall, blonde, and slim friend. Samantha tried to apologize but it was too late.

Samantha tried to apologize but she did the unthinkable. She called her best friend fat to be ugly. Cat knew she was a big girl and she knew she could lose some weight, but she didn't expect her friend to turn into a nasty b***h and make an ugly statement to her for something that wasn't her fault. Cat loaded her stuff in her SUV and left without a go to hell or a goodbye.
