The party was extraordinary. Cat walked along side Ari holding his arm. She was way out of her element. Everyone in the building looked like they came from money. When Ari took her to the boutique, she refused to allow him to purchase anything for her. He wouldn't listen. She was treated like a princess. Ladies assisted her as she tried on different cocktail dresses. The material was light and silky. She tried on several beautiful and elegant dresses. One dress was red and it was cut short to her mid-thigh.
When Ari saw that Cat walked out in the red satin frock, he insisted that he did not like it. The dress was alluring. He knew he could not take her out in the dress, as soon as he felt his manhood respond to the way it clung to her curves. He could see himself getting into an altercation if he took her out like that.
The final dress was the one. Gold suited her well. The Herve Leger v-neck sleeveless foil bandage knit midi cocktail dress seemed like it was made especially for her. It was accompanied by Madame Chiara Gold heeled sandals. The clothes, makeup, and amazingly long natural hair made it hard for Ari to move. She was a vision wrapped in gold. Ari was fascinated by the fact that Cat looked like a goddess in gold. He touched her flat-ironed hair. He tried to kiss her.
"No way, buddy. You're going to mess up my makeup." She laughed at him. Ari looked at her for a moment. He was the one who wanted her to be ready to meet his friends. As difficult as it was, he decided not to disturb anything that the artists did to make her more amazing than she had already been since the first day he lay his eyes on her.

Normally, Cat would meet him whenever they were going out. He never questioned her desire to join him as opposed to riding with him. His eyes drifted over to her as she sat there quietly in his car. She was the most mesmerizing woman who ever sat by his side.
"If you don't pay attention to the road, you're going to wreck," Cat advised him without looking at him. She was trying to maintain her composure. At this moment, she felt like Cinderella. Instead of riding in a carriage, she was riding in a top of the line sports car. It wasn't lost on her that she was wearing gold while riding in the gold Porsche of Ari Gold. This evening was like a fairytale and she already had the prince.
Deep inside, Cat was going crazy. She never in her life imagined that she would be dating a freaking Beverly Hills doctor. Ari looked like an actor, model, superstar all wrapped up in one. He was one of the sexiest white boys she had ever seen. To be riding with him to a Los Angeles party to meet his friends was big. She could tell by the care he was taking, that this was important to him. Her stomach felt all giddy. She didn't want to move or talk too much. If she spoke or did too much of anything, Cat knew she would lose it. She was more nervous on the way to the club then when she was she drove to California.
As they pulled up in front of Boulevard3, Cat felt herself shaking. She never met a stranger. Never in her life was she intimidated by powerful wealthy people. Her nervousness did not stem from the fact that every kind of expensive sports car pulled up to be valeted. Her nerves weren't the result of all of the wealthy people streaming into the building. Cat felt her stomach jump up and down because she was meeting the people who meant the most to Ari other than his parents and his two older sisters.
Three gentlemen walked up to them the moment they stepped into the club. It was as if they were standing by the door waiting. Each of them gave her the once-over. Their stares lingered longer than she thought was necessary. One guy looked at her like he would devour her given half a chance. Cat felt a little dirty as he assessed her in a way that was far more intimate than she cared for. She looked at Ari to keep her mind occupied. She hoped and prayed Ari never discussed the things they did in bed with his friends. She felt her cheeks burn as she the thought crossed her mind. Focusing on Ari was the safest thing to do in this situation.
Ari pulled her close by his side and wrapped her arm around his.
"So you are the gorgeous siren who has enchanted my cousin?" Asked a tall man who was walking up beside her. When Cat looked up to respond, she saw her boss standing there. The grin that was once on his face faded. He looked at her with what seemed like surprise. In what seemed like a blink, his face changed. The shock was replaced by a gentle smile.
"Mr. Wylde. Are you and Ari friends?" She asked glad to see someone she knew.
"Chanel, fancy meeting you here. Sorry, the answer to your question is yes. I've known this guy since he was in knickers. Considering he's my cousin, we've known each other for a long time." Noah responded followed by a nervous laugh. Cat looked at the two men and saw absolutely no resemblance.
"I know we look nothing alike. My mother married a tall thin red-haired Jewish man. My cousin here was blessed to have two very handsome dark haired Jewish parents. I would probably look better than him if my mom had married a beautiful dark-haired Jew. Alas, she married a slightly less appealing yet somewhat sexy guy." Cat giggled at his feigned disappointment. She didn't notice that Ari was observing their interaction. Unconsciously, he walked right beside her and gently laced his fingers between hers. The smile on her face as she looked over and kissed Ari's cheek put him at ease.
"Don't believe the lies my cousin tells you. He's full of bullshit." Ari and Noah looked at each other and broke into laughter. Anyone could tell they had a close relationship. The guys stood there talking and laughing. Ari's other friends joined the conversation. He finally introduced the other three guys.
"Sweetie, this is Adrien Swartzman, Jonah Wylde, and Israel Rosenthal. Adrien is an attorney. Jonah is a Producer/Director as well as my cousin, and Israel is just very very wealthy. Stay away from Israel, he has entirely too much free time and is always getting himself in trouble." Ari laughed as he patted Israel on the back. Something told Cat that he wasn't joking. From the moment they arrived, he had not taken his eyes off of her. Israel was gorgeous. He was tall with dirty blonde hair and emerald green eyes. He was in great shape. His tailored suit fit him nicely. Even though he was a jewel to look at, something about him was intense and dangerous.
"It's my pleasure to meet you all." She said with an uncommonly thick country accent. She still felt a little nervous.
"I see what mean man. She has the most adorable Southern accent." Israel made a point of placing his hand on her shoulder as he made the comment. Cat tried to step away, but he stepped a little bit closer. His closeness was almost invasive. She felt really uncomfortable. Her hand tightened on Ari's arm and he ushered her to the other side as he gently kissed her.
"Ari, I can't believe I'm alive to see you take interest in one woman like this," Israel commented.
"She is extremely rare and very special to me, so I can't help the way I feel about her. I don't want anyone to have her but me." The subtle warning was issued. Israel walked away as he received the warning issued by his friend. Cat listened to the light banter. She could tell there was some bad history between the two of them. A mental note popped into her mind to stay away from Israel. He seemed like a troublemaker.
