Jia's POV
'He is back' - Michelle.
The moment I read the message, I stumbled to get up from the bean bag and in which I had sunk myself to watch the movie. Searching my bag amongst the litter we had caused with food and drinks.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! Where's the fire?" Ruby asked me when she noticed my impatient behaviour.
"I need to go, I remembered something urgent" I managed to tell her between my uneven breathing.
"Do you want me to drop you?" Fred asked.
I was so tempted with the offer, but I can't let him see where I live. Humans were not allowed near pack house. I will have to catch a bus to reach home.
"No thanks" I told him almost running out of door.
This man had left me in the middle of night, without telling me, didn't even attend any of my call or called back. And now he is back and he still doesn't have courtesy to inform me? I seriously need to bash him.
I am panting by the time I reach our room, but it's empty. Just in same condition I had left it.
I was loosing it. Tears were burning in my eyes to run free. I mindlinked Michelle.
"Where is he?" I asked
No reply.
"MICH, WHERE IS HE?"
'pack hospital' she replied with a huff.
What? What happened. I ran towards the hospital. It was the small unit near grounds. I was scared for him, for me. I searched every room in the hospital, praying to moon goddess for his wellness and my sanity. I saw him, sitting on the bed in one of the room. He was just in his pants looking distressed, covered in dirt and blood.
Doctor Taina was tending to his wounds which I was not able see as her back was inbetween.
He looked up as I opened the door and went inside. Our eyes meet. I heard him take a deep breath.
"Jia" He called out. There was so much pain and longing in his voice.
I know he missed me, as much I missed him.
I took small steps towards him. My vision was getting blury due to all the tears. When I was standing next to doctor I saw it.
A huge, deep, nasty, ugly cut, running from his chest to the left arm. Just above his heart.
I gasped.
