Poppy seeds

Jia's Pov

I got ready and went down for breakfast. Michelle and Brittany were already there. Lucy and Megan joined us. After our many late night pizza parties and truth and dare games, we had became good friends.

I looked at Brittany, sipping her coffee slowly. She looked tired, didn't I tell you, having a human mate is complicated, even more for humans. She was pregnant and its taking toll on her small body. Carrying a werewolf pup takes a lot of energy and strength which her body was not able to produce. Jake was taking care of her like a baby. What mattered was they both were so happy.

What would it feel to have Viktor's pup in me, will he too take care of me just like Jake? Will it be too soon for me to think about being mother?

"You had your medicines baby?" I heard Jake ask Brit, bringing me out of my thoughts. All of us looked at them having their sweet moment, wondering about motherhood, I guess.

I pondered, if Vik will ever call me 'baby'. He never used any endearments for me. When I asked him why, his reply won me over again.

"Your name itself is an endearment for me, why do I need anything else?" He had said.

I had felt like eating him up at that time.

Mich cleared her throat.

"Do all men take care of their pregnant mates like this ?" She asked looking at Jake

"Of course.... NOT, I am more sensetive, caring and compassionate than any of them." That is so typical of Jake.

"Ya you are right, George will be so sensitive that I will have to take care of him." Lucy said.

"And Alex will have difficult time to express himself, as usual." Megan added.

"Tyl will be indifferent, am sure" Mich said.

"Viktor will be hardly there to look after me." I said feeling sad. With all his duties and missions outside pack territories, will he be able to take care of us?

"Brit is the luckiest of us all" Mich said.

All of us were in our own thoughts when jake asked about the preperation for tomorrow's party, jolting us back to reality.

Ohh yes, the party. Its Alpha's 25th Birthday and Luna had organised a huge party, inviting lots of people. I had to make a three tier cake and am not ever started, all I have is the sketch that Luna approved. Ohh goddess, help me.

"OMG, there are lots of things pending yet, lets get to work girls" Megan said getting worried.

"Ok ladies, I will take your leave, with Alpha, Beta and our head warrior gone, responsibilities of Pearl moon pack solely depends on me" Jake said pointing both his index finger on him with smug look. He went away saying that.

"Ok who is helping me with cake?" I asked with my hopeful eyes

"Not me" Mich backed out

"I will help you, and Michelle, you help Megan with the decorations" Lucy had sorted out.

"What do I do?" Brittany wanted to help too but with her condition...

"You review the menu and see what needs to be revised" Megan added quickly, passing her the list of food items.

"Not again!" Brit scoffed. We all went to get started with the work.

It got late by the time I was finished with cake. I was tired like hell, all my muscles were screaming for relief. I went to our room and dropped dead on bed. Viktor was not back.

In middle of night, I felt warm tingles on my lips, it kept coming and going. I embraced the warmth and comfort with smile forming on my lips, that were being continuously kissed by my mate. I opened my eyes and am meet with his grey storms that can distroy me.

"You are back my pumpkin pie" I said snuggling deeper into his bare strong chest.

"Ya am back my poppy seeds."

"Why Poppy seeds???" 

"Why Pumpkin pie???" He asked.I rolled my eyes to that.

I looked up at him and licked his lips

"Pumpkin pie is sweet, juicy and delicious"

I said with seducing voice.

"Oh! And poppy seeds are....ummm poppy seeds."I rolled my eyes to that.

I huffed, seriously this person can't even come up with something sensual to say.

"How was your meeting" I asked

"It was good actually, we meet the future Alpha as of now he is head warrior at their pack. We discussed lots of new techniques of fighting and sparing and Jason invited him tomorrow for the party. He is very strong Alpha, you get that domineering aura that emits from him."

"Hmm" I was not interested in any other Alpha in middle of night.

"And his name is not Rogan or Rayman. Its Ric...."

Before he could complete his sentence, I flipped him on his back and straddled him.

"I am not interested in what his name is. Only one name have my undivided interest. Do you know that name." I said, tracing my finger on his sharp jaws.

He just kept staring at me.

"Its Viktor..."I whispered in his ears with lust dripping from my voice.

"Oh!" Was all he could manage.
