Birthday celebration

Jia's Pov

When we reached Viktor's parents place, it was past 6pm. Sun was setting behind the sea. It was beautiful sight. Their house was kind of a beach house. It had a wooden porch lined with potted plants. A wind chime hung from the ceiling was playing soothing music. The whole atmosphere around the house was so tranquil, I can spend my whole life here. It was amazing.

"You liked it?" Viktor asked looking at the amazement on my face.

"I love it, its just.... beautiful." I said still looking around.

We went inside and it was even more beautiful, house gave out warm and cosy feeling.

"Mom! We are home" Viktor called out. Placing our luggage on floor.

A very elegant and kind faced she wolf in mid fifties, came to us smiling brightly. Viktor went forward to hug her, but she ignored him and came towards me.

"Oh my goddess, Jia you are so preety." She hugged me warmly. I was surprised and looked at Viktor, he shrugged. I hugged her back.

"Good evening, Mrs Kent." I greeted her.

"Call me mom sweetheart" she said looking at me lovingly.

"Mom you forgot me." Viktor pouted. I had never seen him do that.

"Viki, my boy" she went to Viktor and hugged him. He hugged her too.

"Where is dad?" He asked her.

"Right behind you, sunny boy." He hugged Viktor too. He was tall as Viktor and looked older version of him. Sr. Kent radiated an auro of respect and admiration.

"Now who is this gorgeous girl?" He said looking at me.

"Warrior Kent, it's an honor meeting you" I said bowing to him.

"Come on my child, we are family, you can call me dad." He said

"Dad, mom, meet Jia Davis my mate. Jia meet my parents, Mark Kent and Samantha Kent." Viktor did the formal introduction.

"Welcome to the family Jia." Mark Kent said.

"Why don't you both get fresh. Viktor take Jia to your room. Dinner is ready, we can talk while eating". His mom said.

Dinner was set in the backyard lawn. There was a small path leading to the beach. They had like their own private beach. It was so serene.

His mom had made so many different dishes, there was fish fry, eggs rice and what not. I ate so much. We all chatted happily like a happy family. They made me feel at home. Both his parents were wonderful. After dinner, I helped mom with dishes.

We were seated on the recliners at the backyard. Guy were having drink and talked about pack and territories. We girls were having hot chocolate.

"Hows everyone back home?" Mom asked me.

"Everyone's good."

"How's your life with Viktor? Does he still goes on missions uninformed?"

"Ya, he does, first time it was crazy. I didn't knew what to do. I even went and asked Alpha. But its ok now. As long as he gets back unharmed." I said sadly.

"Being a mate to Warrior is different and difficult. I have been through it. You need to be very strong to stand by his side and support him. I know you will do it, you are strong she wolf, I can feel it." She said proudly.

Ara beamed with proud

"Viki is lucky to have you." 

"No mom. its me, who is lucky to have Viktor as my mate.

We both looked at our mates who were busy discussing some strategies. Viktor looked in my direction and smiled. He was so happy and content. I looked around the house. I too would like to send my old days in place like this.

I checked my watch, it was 5 min to midnight.

"It's time" I whispered in his moms ears.

We both got up giggling and went to kitchen.

Viktor's POV

I was so happy being with my parents. It had been long since I celebrated my birthday with them and also with my mate. We were sitting at the backyard looking at the sea and chatting like a complete family.

All of sudden mom and Jia went inside giggling. I wondered, what were they upto.

Just then I heard birthday song playing and lights went out. Jia came outside with a cake in her hand. Glow from the candle. illuminating her face. She looked so beautiful, my mate. She placed the cake in front of me and handed me a knife still singing the song.

This whole thing was her idea, I knew it. Even the cake was made by her. I cut the cake and feed it to mom, dad and then Jia. They all wished me. Mom and dad gave us a couple watch as a gift.

This is going to be my best birthday ever.
