Listening to Lorenzo's icy voice, Megan lowered her voice and said, "The HR department asked me to come. Peter is hospitalized, and they couldn't find a suitable replacement, so they asked me to come back and help temporarily.
Once Peter recovers, or they hire a new secretary, I'll leave."
Lorenzo glanced at Megan indifferently and walked forward.
Soon, the familiar aroma of coffee drifted from the office.
