The meeting finally started.
Louis slid a contract across the table to Catherine.
"We're looking for a child actor, and Max fits the role perfectly. If you agree, we'll offer him a very generous salary."
But that wasn't the whole story.
Louis had sensed a strange tension between Catherine and Lorenzo. Something about it intrigued him.
He remembered the rumors after the wedding—about Lorenzo throwing out a pregnant woman during the event.
Now, it seemed obvious that Catherine was that woman.
He couldn't help but feel that this mother and son might be the key to adding some much-needed excitement to Lorenzo's life.
"But Max is still too young, and I'm only here to resolve this situation," Catherine responded firmly, scanning the contract.
