"Mom, where are you going?" Calica eyes, suspiciously watched her mother put on her sneakers. As Becca finished tying her laces, she smoothed out her jeans and straightened out her red V-neck t-shirt. It fit snuggly against her small breasts, making it look perkier. She looked at her daughter and smiled. Calica's hair was long and black, tied in a braid that reached her waist. She was almost tucked into bed, her light pink pajamas showed under the covers. Becca walked towards her daughter and sat on the bed. "I am going to meet up with Uncle Leo. Is that ok?" Calica wrinkled her small nose, her almond shaped eyes, slightly closed in a questioning look. Calica's is a spitting image of her mother, but with a few freckles spotted across her cheeks. Becca cupped her daughters face and gave her a kiss on her forehead and nose. Calica giggled, and her smile went away going back into her serious protective look. "Why do you always have to meet with Uncle Leo, John and Shay for? Are you going hunting again?" The question made Calica's ears perk up with interest. Becca shook her head. "No, we are not hunting. And we don't meet all the time. We are just going to hang out for a bit." Calica made a sour face, unhappy with the answer. "When will I be able to go hunting with you?" Becca shook her head and tucked her daughter in, "You're too young now, and you can only learn what I have taught you until you are older. You're not mature enough to fight or hunt off anything yet." Kissing Calica's forehead, Becca got up and walked towards the door. Calica huffed, then reached under her pillow and pulled out a wooden stick. "Then moms don't forget this." She tosses it to Becca, with one swipe caught it in midair. It laid heavy in Becca's hands, a foot long with designs of ancient inscriptions written all over it. The language of the spirit world. "Thanks. What makes you think that I'll need it?" "You'll never know. That's what you've always said to me." Becca smiled, turned off the light, blew a kiss to her daughter. "Good night Cali." "Good night mom." whispered Calica and blew a kiss back. Walking out the door, she headed towards the kitchen. Her mother, Joyce was making chocolate milk as she walked in. Taking a small zip, she looked over the frame of her glasses towards Becca. "How long are you going to be out for?" Shrugging, Becca grabbed her mini backpack and placed the wooden stake inside. "I shouldn't be out long. I don't know why Leo wants to meet up, But, I guess we'll see." Grabbing her keys, Becca started to walk towards the door. "Well, you know you're brother. I see that Cali gave you her stake." Becca looked at her bag, "I know, guess she's worried about something." "She's not worried about something she must've seen something that may happen. She wants you to take some caution. You have to remember that even though she is only 9 years old doesn't mean that she won't get her visions now." Becca nodded, remembering when she started to get her special powers. Then learning that she's one of the disciples of slayers at the age of 12. She was too advanced to be trained since her powers were so close to be like the cursed ones. Fear of Becca turning to be the cursed one will be the end of the disciples. That will never happen she vowed. "I know. I just hope that it slows down, and have her understand her powers later when she's done with school and hopefully college." Becca hoped. "It may happen sooner." Joyce, walked passed Becca and kissed her cheek. "Tell your brother to call me, asap." She walked down the hallway to her room. Becca nodded then walked out of the apartment and locked the door. Off to that margarita spot we usually meet at. Hopefully they didn't start without me. It was a humid August night, a lot of teens hanging out and acting silly. Walking passed the bars and lounges on Rivington Street. Bar hoppers walked in small groups. The sound of talking and laughter hit the streets. Cars buzzed by, while people walked freely, drunk, not a care in the world, these innocent souls don't know what creatures are lurking in these streets. Jason's face came into her mind. No please, just delete him from your memory. But her mind went on, to the night heading back home from a late date. Riding the taxi back together, her head on his shoulders looking out the window, watching the cars pass by, as the cab continued heading south. Jason moved his arm, softly nudging Becca off and pulling her again to rest his arms around her. Becca rested her head on his hard chest and held her breath as he kissed her forehead. Her hand slowly and delicately traced his chest through his blue t-shirt, not wanting to tease him, but from what she saw it seemed like the right time. Becca tries not to use her hypnosis on him, just to see for herself if he really wanted her as much as she wanted him. Once the cab stopped near his neighborhood, Jason unlocked the door and got out, and watched Becca climb out of the car. Closing the door behind her, he grabbed her hand and pulled Becca to his place. Quietly they both snuck in giggling from the alcohol they drank, in hopes that they won't get caught. "Are you sure that you want to do this?" Whispered Becca as Jason pulled her into his room. Jason smirked, pulling her on top of him he kissed her lips, making Becca hot all over. She slowly climbed on top of him while he pulled off her red halter top, exposing her small breasts. He kissed and licked her n*****s so softly and delicately, it made Becca moist. She moved away and gently kissed his neck and trailed her kisses to his lips. Standing in front of the Margarita spot, Becca had to fan herself and push away that hot night. Grrrr! He still makes me hot, even after the break-up. Clear your mind, you don't want them to read your thoughts, especially now. Walking in and finding Leo, John and Shay sitting at a table near the entrance. Becca walks up to the trio, and sat next to Shay. Looking at the smug and relaxed look on their faces, they had already started without her. Shay waved at Becca and tapped her cheek. "Where have you been? Took you long enough." Shay smirked as he waved the waitress over. His authority look that he usually has from years of working with the NYPD was gone. Very slim and muscular, his attitude can blow a hole in you without using a gun. Now that authority was washed out and tipsy. John, grumbled as the waitress walked towards their table, tapping his fingers on the table, he gave a young light skinned girl their order of margaritas all mangos, and ordering Becca a strawberry. The waitress's bottom hit the side of the table shaking the drinks, and walked away with an attitude. "You are already up to Mangos! That's not fair." John grinned, and lazily grabbed Becca's hand and kissed it. "You know how it is, we weren't going to wait for you." His big meaty hand covered Becca's tiny hand. His muscles bulged around his heavy forearms, his green eyes stared through her, making Becca feel a bit uneasy. "Stop tryna, read her thoughts man." Interrupted Shay, as the lady returned with their drinks. The waitress pulled out her receipt book and was ready to write out their final tab, until Leo waved her off. "My sis just got here, she has to catch up with us." Rolling her eyes, she saw the look on Leos face as she quickly replaced it with a smile and walked away. "Bruta." They started to laugh and shake their heads. The conversation went from sports, wrestling and the last hunt. They stopped for a minute over hearing other customers on the other side of the restaurant in their loud voices bring up creatures walking on the Hudson River side and then cover it with nervous laughter's. Making a mental note to check out the west side, they continued the conversations and an action plan. It was getting close to 1am when the conversation changed. Leo waved at the waitress. A new lady showed up and continued with a new receipt. The waitress leaned down to hear what was being ordered, she shook her head then walked away. A few minutes later she arrived with four mugs of black coffee, a glass of sweetener and milk, she smiled then walked away. Grabbing some sugar Shay, laughed and looked at Leo. “You really had to kill the moment had you?” Leo poured some milk into his mug, and yawned. “Hey, you drove here by bike. You’re not going to make it home riding. Might as well try to sober up. Leo glanced at Becca and let out some air, she already knew what was bugging him since she sat down earlier. "You made the right move." Shay chimed in without missing a beat. Here it goes. Becca's head was swimming when she felt all three of them looking at her. The bar seemed to quiet down just to hear their conversation. This sucks whenever they start to drink all of their senses goes on high, becoming more sensitive. "Yea, I have to agree. He was only going to get in the way." John said as his words became more cryptic than before. Becca looked down at her lap and started playing with her hands. "I know. It's better off." "You damn right it is." Leo was picking in her mental state and was reading all of her thoughts. "He wasn't your type anyways. And would you stop thinking about him!" Becca looked up and knew that her brother read her out once she walked into the bar. Creepy but it made her upset. I hate it when he does that. "Stop reading my mind please. It's freakin' disturbing." Slapping his lap, Leo's mustache bristled as he leaned closer to Becca. His Black and grey striped shirt was a bit loose showing his white tank under. "Your fuckin thoughts are repeating your times with him. Jason is not and never will be worth your time." Standing up from her seat, Becca glared at her brother, "What the f**k is wrong with you? I have every right to have a fuckin s*x life." "Not with that sick fuck." Shay and John both got up and started to calm the siblings from another fight. Calming down, they sat back down, but continued to fight in their mental state. Shay snapped his fingers and pulled the siblings out of the mental dispute between them. "Leo, she is no longer with him. Leave her alone about it." "Yea, man. Let her be." John, touched Beccas hand and she slowly pulled it away. Grunting while sitting back on his chair, he stared at Becca then at Leo. "Becca knows that it wasn't meant to be." Rubbing her face, Becca stood up and took twenty dollars out of her pocket. "I don't want to talk about it anymore. I'm going home, have to wake up early to take Calica to her game. Oh, and call mom." Dropping the twenty on the table, she pushed her chair in. All three men stood up dropping their money on the table as well. Becca walked out letting the cool air touch her skin. Why can't Leo get over it already? In my heart I know that I didn't make a mistake. And whatever he saw in Jason is not the same from what I saw in him. "Stop, thinking please." John walked behind her and gave her a bear hug. John and Becca have been through it all. The trainings, fights, not a day goes by that a demon have gone after them. They always had each other's backs. John rubbed her arms and turned her to face him. John's green eyes searched hers, Becca smiled and stared back at him. He froze and dropped his hands, taking a deep breath he stepped back. "Whoa, don't do that again. Hate it when you do that to me. Felt as if you were..." "She does that purposely. That's what makes her," Leo stepped out of the bar putting two hands up making quotations, "a disciple." Rolling his eyes, Leo smiled and patted Johns back. "She's blessed, with immortality. But now if she gets killed, that's the end of the..." Shay walked towards Becca and gave her a hug. "Sorry." Becca shook her head. Don't worry I know. She looked into Shays eyes. Feeling his chest squeezed he puts his head down. They walked towards the corner and separated to different paths. Becca walked Shay to his motorcycle, and kissed his cheek. Starting the engine of his blue and gold Mitsubishi R1Bike, he gave Becca a worried look. "Even though you are a bit older than me, I still look at you as if you're my little sister." "Thank you, but don't worry. Whatever comes in our paths we always find a way to survive it." Becca patted his back while he put his helmet on. "You're right. That's why your brother bugs out at times about you. He... None of us wants anything bad to happen to you. Even though everything will happen to us, before anything with you." Shay pointed at Becca, and revved his bike up. "See you later, get home safe. Say hi to Caly for me." Giving her a thumb up, he slowly drove up Houston Street. Feeling dizzy she walked back home. The cool summer air calmed her down, the sidewalks still bustling with people. As Becca continued her walk back home, she felt her senses go on high alert. Her heart started to beat in a speed that made her sweat. Her ears started to ring, her skin became itchy all over. Blinding pain shot through her head as images flashed through her mind. Becca dropped to her knees, and grabbed her throbbing skull. Too many faces, I can't see who or what they are. Are they in danger? Who are they? Rubbing her temple, the pain ebbed away as quickly as it came. Shakily Becca's hands rubbed her face, wiping the tears from her cheeks. What the hell was that about? *****************************************************************************************Lying down on a huge plush couch, Jason looked up at the club ceiling. Remembering, being pulled away from the crowd into this secret room, then dropping onto the nice soft green couch, making Jason relax. Hearing the pop of the cork, he looked up and watched Jennifer pour red wine into two glasses. She smiled and put the bottle down. Holding the two glasses in her hands, she slowly walked towards him and gently placed one of the long stemmed glasses in his hands. Sitting up Jason looked at the drink then looked at Jennifer. "What's this for?" Jennifer's pink lips smiled as she raised her glass for a toast. "To us. Forever young." Picking up his glass, he shrugged and toasted. Taking a zip, the wine had a bitter and slightly thick taste to it. He continued drinking the nectar until the last drop. He looked at Jennifer and smiled at her as she raised her glass to her mouth drinking the wine. Grabbing both their glasses, she put it down at the foot of the couch and crawled on top of him. Crap! I'm so not ready for this. Jason laid back and let her straddle him. "Stop thinking." Jennifer said as she kissed him softly playing her tongue across his lips. Pulling his air out of his mouth, making him breathless. His mind started to swirl, feeling a heavy weight was on his shoulders. He tried to force his way back up. But couldn't. "Let me play with you." Doing as she says, Jason laid back and continued to kiss her. Softly at first then harder. Feeling his shirt rip a bit through her nails, she lightly scratched his chest. Rubbing herself against him, making him tense up. His hands moved up her waist towards her breasts trying to bring down her tube dress. Jennifer played with his tongue and moved down, licking his neck. Kissing his chest and playing with the small patch of hairs on it. He couldn't move at all, but he liked where it was going. His mind continued to spin and a face appeared, while he watched Jennifer, unbutton his pants. She looked up and smiled, it was Becca's face, with her long black hair shimmering in the light. Jason grabbed her hair and pulled her to kiss him. The kiss was so feverish that his pulse quickened, Becca pulled away to look at him. Her beautiful smile made his heart melt, as she slowly kissed his lips and licked behind his ear. Jason's pulse beat faster as her soft lips played with it. "I know this is what you want, the more you think of her, the more you will hate her." "Wha..." Feeling a sharp pain, he couldn't move. He felt the skin rip softly in her mouth feeling sharp fangs dig deep into his neck. Jason grunted in pain, as blood poured slowly out of his neck into her mouth. He couldn't move, he wanted her to do it. Feeling her tongue play with his pulse, she sucked and swallowed. Licking his neck she kissed Jason with her bloody lips. "Becca?" Biting his lips, wanting to crash his lips into Becca’s again, he opened his eyes and noticed that Becca was gone. What the... His head stopped spinning, his eyes adjusted to the dark room. How the hell? Jason got up and looked around. He ran towards the light switch and flooded the room with light. Confused, he looked down seeing himself in his Shirt and Khakis. How the hell did I get home? Was I that drunk? What the? Shaking his head he touched his neck, nothing. What was that about? Did I piss Jennifer off? Looking at the time, it was 3am. Confused and very sleepy he decided to get undressed and go to bed. I guess I will have to call Jennifer and ask her what happened. That freakin' sucked ass! Have to be ready for tomorrow's game anyways. As Jason thought about the night, he fell asleep. *****************************************************************************************The sun burned into his eyes, as he woke up the next morning. The buzzing of his alarm from his cell phone was ringing. Pulling the covers over his face, he grabbed his cell and shut it off. Too early for this s**t. Jason started to fall back to sleep when his cell phone started to ring. Wanting to throw it across the room, Jason looked at his IPhone and picked up the call. "I'm sick, not doing it today." Jason said groggily and half asleep. "I don't think so. Stop playin', son." Ronnie, the head umpire answered back. "It's not my fault you had a shitty night." Hearing the laugh on the other line, Jason shook his head and pushed the covers off of his face. "I need you for this game and the game later on. Eric called in, his wife went into labor early." Groaning, Jason got up. "I am not in the mood to do two games today. Call that new kid to do the second game... Better yet tell that new kid to do both games. I'm hung over." Plopping back down on his pillow, Jason grimaced feeling a pinch behind his ear. "Well, that new kids name is Lucas, and like you said he's new. Still wet behind the ears. You want him to take over and gain that extra $60 per game it's on you." Knowing that he needed the money, and indeed was very low on cash, Jason rolled off the bed and walked towards the bathroom and started the bath water. "Fine, I'll be there for both games. I really do need the money." Ronnie laughed, "I knew you weren't going to turn it down. Especially since your lovely lady will be there at game two." Jason looked at himself in the mirror. Damn, I look like s**t. Fuckin hungry too. "She's not my lady, anymore though." "Whatever man. Get yo ass movin' ya goin to be late." Ronnie hung up. Picturing that fat mother fucker sitting behind the gates watching him umpire, made his skin crawl. Jason wanted to kick dirt at him, for being an arrogant f**k. It is what it is. The uncomfortable pinch feeling came back behind his ear again. Looking towards the side, Jason lifted his ear to see what it was. What the? Finding a bit of dried blood in his hair and ear, he ran his fingers on it. Damn, that b***h gave me a hicky! Pulling down his boxers he stepped into the shower letting the warm water hit his aching body. He closed his eyes trying to remember last night.
