Evelyn POV Driving down the highway, I am brought to a standstill by a figure in the middle of the road. The lights illuminate his large, intimidating stance. I stop the car and pull over and off the road. Thaddeus walks over and rips the car door open. I am too mentally fatigued for his s**t right now. “Get out now,” Thaddeus says, reaching for the ignition and ripping the keys out. “Thaddeus, I don’t want to do this right now; just leave me alone,” I tell him, trying not to cry in front of him. “You don’t get to make a scene at home, then tell me to leave you alone,” he says. I can feel the darkness consume him like a raging storm. The air becomes electrified, and I can smell the buzz of his magic rippling out of him like an aura. “Can I have the keys back, please?” I ask him,
