Taking Isabella shopping

It’s been a tough week this week me and Corey were rushed off our feet preparing for our next and one of our biggest lunch meetings next week. I was so scared, but Corey assured me it would be just fine, we’d been working really hard to meet the dead line, he was so understanding I’ve never met a man quiet like him.
Everyone one was wrong about him he was genuine and sincere. He had a heart of gold, though he wouldn’t admit it. Kieron and Arron really liked him and for a second week running he’d taken them to combat with Cam and they’d both stayed till morning, we’ll Cam anyway he had to get back though we’d invited him to go shopping with us. Keiron and Arron were meeting their friends and going to the skate and bmx park. Which I was glad of at lest they weren’t staying in on that god damn PlayStation arguing. I wish I had never brought it them now.
Me, Izzy and Corey had got into his car. I strapped her into the car chair. And got into the front of the car before Corey pulled away this was going to be a day to remember. He said we’d do a little shopping them go to Anthena park where Izzy cloud either play in the ball pit or go on the slides while we watched. Now almost two she was more energetic than both Keiron and Arron put together.
We’d got out of the car and had begun shopping. In the mall before we headed to Athena Park when the unexpected happened Izzy’s hand in mine as Corey held almost ten bags we went back to the car and he put the bags in the boot, shutting it and locking the car up before we went to Athena park. It was huge and Izzy looked at it was excited. ‘Wow.’
‘I know.’
‘How do you know about the place?’
‘Oh I bring my nieces and nephews here when they visit may be we can all come next time they’re in town.’
I smiled. ‘That would be nice.’
Corey paid in and she instantly ran over to the slide we had an hour here so I brought come drinks and lunch as Corey paid in. He said it was worth it just looking at the bright smile that she had in her face made him happy. It made me happy truth be known. We watched her as we ate. She lover the slide and the ball pit. She slumped down in her chair and I got her a drink and something to eat. ‘So do you like it here?’
‘It’s awesome can we come again?’ She asked exited.
‘I guess we can.’
‘She smiled enthusiastically.
After we ate we all headed back.

He walked up to her as I watched them. I didn’t know who he was, but she clearly knew him she looked surprised to see him. Izzy held her hand, we’d been to Athena park and had grabbed lunch going around the shops in the town about forty minutes from the cottage and ten minutes from where we worked. ‘Lex.’
‘Kile.’ She said coldly. I had a feeling this wasn’t going to go to well by the frustration upon her face. She didn’t look to pleased to see him one bit.
I stood back not wanting to get involved in their reunion, though it didn’t look like a good one. I could tell this by the way they were looking at each other, if looks could kill they certainly would right now.
‘So..’ he paused. ‘How are you?’
‘What do you care?’
‘A lot actually.’
‘I doubt that very much you left me with no explanation.’
Had she got another secret? I knew everything about a guy she called Joker and their past and I knew that this wasn’t him by the way that she had described him. And of course the pictures that were spread across face book ones which she had recently deleted to prove she was over him, so who the hell was this guy. I knew about Carter too, so who was this?
‘I did.’
‘You left me Kile with no explanation just that you couldn’t do it.’ She said angrily her voice rising.
Now I get it the guy that left with out saying a f*****g word. No wonder she was pissed, no wonder she wanted nothing to do with him.
‘I know.’ He said ashamed.
‘So start talking or I’m walking.’
‘I wanted to Lex I really did.’
‘So what changed your mind? You said it didn’t bother you, but then it did what happened?’
‘He told me to back away.’
‘Who did?’
‘Who do you think Lex? The buggy man!’
‘But he said he never said anything to you.’ “Asshole.” She said under her breath.
‘And you believed him? More fool you.’ He looked at her. ‘I was disappointed Hunter wasn’t mine and that’s the truth. I meant what I said Lex I wanted you , you have to believe me. I hoped out of all of us if Hunter was mine or it would be Carter’s at least he wouldn’t’ve intervened.’
‘So what exactly happened Kile? What the hell did he exactly do?’
‘He approached me. I was coming to see you to let you know I was getting the nursery ready. My face dropped when he told me Hunter was his, it was like the hell was sucking me down into it. He told me you no longer needed my help cause he was sorting everything out. I told him hell would freeze over first. He never cared about you, he never loved you like I did.
We argued. He told me to tell you I’d changed my mind and I should never have offered and if I didn’t tell you he’d make sure I regretted I didn’t. I had no choice Lex he would’ve found another way to get you and Hunter away from me and with him, so I just let him. I’m sorry Lex.’
She stood fuming I’d never seen her like that before, her fists clenching.
‘He was so happy when you told him that you weren’t moving in with me. He gloated and told me I’d done the right thing and to never contact you again. So I didn’t.’
‘And they say I’m naïve and pathetic. You’re weak and pathetic, you should’ve stood up to him instead of backing away.’
‘I couldn’t he’s got too much in me.’
‘Like what?’
‘I..I can’t tell you.’
‘Whatever.’
‘So is she his?’
‘Yes.’
‘How many did he make you have with him?’
‘Six.’
‘Oh my god Lex. I’m so sorry.’
‘Why? He chose to screw me and I let him.’
‘Where is he?’
‘Not here. I left him.’
‘Oh.’
‘Pease don’t tell him Kile.’
‘I won’t I promice.’
I came up behind them. ‘Is everything okay Lex?’
‘Yeah it’s fine. Corey this is Kile. Kile this is my boss Corey.’
‘Nice to meet you.’ I said holding out my hand.
‘You to.’ He said shaking it.
‘We’re old friends aren’t we Lex.’
‘Yeah.’
I loosed my grip. ‘So how long have you known Lexi?’
‘A long time. My best friend introduced us you were what eighteen?’
‘Yeah.’
‘She was friends with my best friends girl Emmy. They lived together they were almost inseparable.’
‘Really.’
‘Yeah.’
‘So how come you’ve never invited her down to the cottage?’
‘It’s complicated.’
‘You live around here?’
‘Not really. I just work around here with Corey. It’s his cottage I’m just renting it.’
‘Oh okay.’ He looked at Lexi. ‘Well I best go it was nice seeing you again.’
‘Yeah.’
‘It a was nice meeting you too Corey.’
‘You to.’
He jogged away.
‘Well that was awkward.’
‘Yeah it was.’
‘So would you like to tell me who he really is.’
‘I once thought he was some I could rely on I was wrong.’
‘Would you like to tell me about it?’
‘At the cottage.’
‘Sure.’
We all walked back to the car getting in. I pulled away I could see in her face there was more to their friendship but I wasn’t going to push her she’d tell me if she wanted to.
After we returned to the cottage she told Izzy to go and play in her room and we sat down.’ So I guess you want to know what happened between me and Kile and why I’m so angry.’
‘If you want to tell me then I’m happy to listen.’
‘It happened when I was heavily pregnant with Hunter, we were spending a lot of time together. Amilia was always over Johnson’s so he asked me to stay. We were just friends, anyway like I said we’d become close friends after I told him I was expecting he was easy to talk to. We’d slept together once before nothing serious. Amilia and Johnson had left to spend the night together he asked me to stay and things got a little out of hand and we slept together, but he wanted more he told me he didn’t care who Hunter’s father was he’d be there for both of us.’
‘But it did.’
‘Yeah. He came to the hospital after I had Hunter and told me he couldn’t do it and left.’
‘I see.’
‘I couldn’t believe it I still can’t that f*****g gerk.’
‘He obviously didn’t care enough about you to take on the responsibility of another mans child.’
‘He threatened him Corey. That ass hole threatened him ’
‘Was that why you were so angry?’
‘He f*****g lied to me. He told me he never spoke to him he f*****g lied all this time. I believed Kile didn’t want nothing to do with me and Hunter and all this time he’s been behind it why?’
‘Only he can answer that Lex.’
‘He’s so f****d in head. I didn’t want him to help me yet I found that I had no choice seen as Kile had abandoned me.’
‘Well I won’t he’s not worth it Lex.’
‘I know.’
I pulled her close placing my hand on her face. ‘You’ve got me now and I’ll never leave you I promise.’ I placed my lips on hers kissing her, she backed away.
‘I’m sorry I can’t.’
I simply smiled one day she would fall and I’d be there when she did. I placed my arm around her bringing her to me. ‘When your ready.’
