The phone on my nightstand rang as I was putting my new clothes away. I had separated things by color, now that my wardrobe no longer exclusively consisted of light blues, pinks, and purples. My closet now looked like that of a rainbow and I took a step back to smile at the sight. When I finally registered the phone ringing, I scrambled to collect the call before it dropped. Picking up the landline, I pressed it against my ear and splayed across my soft, generous bed. "Hello?" I called into the receiver, my stomach twisting with excitement having not heard from any of my family for awhile. "What took you so long to answer?"
