"Why?" Lily was leaning against the door when she felt William's face creeping closer.
A thick eyebrow was raised, and the smirk at the corner of William's lips was undisguised.
"I thought you said you were going to spend the night over there. It's good to have me with you."
"William," Lily said softly, "don't be ridiculous."
"Okay. "
William looked at Lily with tenderness in his eyes.
"I'm happy to be there with you. You don't need to ask. I'll support you anytime."
Lily's face squeezed out a big smile.
"Thank you, William. See you tomorrow then."
Lily finished speaking, quickly turned around, and left William's room. She couldn't let a fleeting heartbeat take over her mind but should instead use all her energy to prepare for tomorrow.
