The awards ceremony began, and Lily and her teammates walked up to the stage to receive their trophies.
She replaced Alex and gave a short but wonderful acceptance speech as the team leader, thanking the team, her mentors and family, and William, who was watching her from the stage.
"Thank you all!"
After the last statement, Lily felt her body begin to heat up and her face grow hot.
After coming off the stage with applause, she was the first to come to William's side.
William also noticed Lily's abnormality and immediately stepped forward to support her.
"Are you okay? You look a little uncomfortable."
"Maybe it's the alcohol I've been drinking. I want to go take a break," Lily replied.
"I'll keep you company."
