Lily felt like the world was spinning around her, unable to tell if what she had seen was real or just a figment of her imagination. Even after Elena escorted her back to the hotel, the image of Arthur with that glamorous woman lingered in her mind.
"He's my brother." She repeated these words to herself over and over. "He has every right to date any woman he chooses."
But the next day, while trying to prepare for her interview, Lily found herself distracted. Elena stayed by her side, introducing her to the college history and some of Rhode Island's quirky traditions to help her navigate the tricky interview questions. If her luck didn't hold, she might even have to face the notoriously eccentric Dean Norman.
