Chapter Sixteen

*Courtyard*

🗣God knows why we were called.

🗣Didn’t you hear about the slave death.

🗣And that lady who was locked.

🗣Who knows we did it.

The maids murmured among themselves, the maids and guards were the only one present.

“Queen Ivana” they all bow seeing Queen Ivana and she nods.

Seconds later, the rest followed.

Minutes later they were all completed except Rylan, Kaal and Calantha.

Rylan entered and the courtyard went silent.

“Supreme Lord” they all bow seeing him entered.

“My Queen” they bowed again seeing Calantha and she swallowed.

‘I’m definitely not used to being respected this way’ she mumbled knowing Kaal will hear her.

“You will get use to it now” he replied her as they sat.

“I will be starting with an introduction which I suppose you all know what I’m about to say but I will still say it, this is my Queen, Calantha” he said.

“My Queen” they all bowed once more.

“She must be treated with the same respect I’m treated with but someone is doing the complete opposite” Kaal said and they all swallowed.

“My Queen came here as a researcher with her team, then her sisters came over here for her but someone harmed her sister to get back at my Queen” Kaal said looking at the people before him.

“And one of us here did it, a woman was harmed behind my back when I left the mansion for a few weeks” He said and the murmurs of the maid increased.

“Silence” Rylan thundered and the yard became quiet.

“So in accordance to what I said, there is someone in our midst who crave for torture and trust me you will be blessed with it as soon as I lay my hands on you” Kaal smirked and they all swallowed.

“Supreme Lord….” A maid called out and they all turned to her.

“Speak” Kaal ordered.

“The maid that was killed, she’s my frie…friend Flora...I saw her talking to someone strange before the news of Miss Evelyn condition, she looked terrified as soon the strange person left her sight” the maid explained.

“And?” Calantha asked.

The maid swallowed, a bead of sweat forming in her head.

“I saw Flora go towards the left side of the mansion..I thought she was going to Supreme Lord chamber so I didn’t confront her…I later saw her and asked what happened seeing how paled she is, she only replied me that someone will kill her…scared I ran to call The Regent but I saw him carrying Miss Evelyn and by the time I was back Flora was dead” the maid replied tears brimming in her eyes.

“The strange fellow…a man shape or a woman?” Kaal asked and they all felt the heat radiating from his.

Anger.

“The person was dressed in red, the person color was red when I saw the person leg” the maid replied.

“Red?” Calantha called out.

“Seen something like that before?” Queen Ivana asked.

“I’m trying to recollect…red haired….” Calantha massage her temple.

“Don’t over push it Queenie” he mumbled and she nodded.

“I will get to the bottom of this and in the meantime no one is allowed to leave this mansion till I say so” Kaal ordered.

“Yes supreme lord” they all bow.

“The maids and guard can leave” Kaal echoed and they scrambled out.

“Is there a problem” Maude said, Mabel was standing by her side.

Edwin,Blessing,Henry and Nick where standing alone while Bianca and Lily where standing apart.

“I found out recently about your mischiefs” Kaal smirked staring at her.

Maude swallowed.

‘What does he mean?’ She mumbled.

“I don’t understand Kaal” she shrugged.

Feeling the atmosphere she realised what she called him.

“Supreme Lord I mean” she corrected herself.

“Tssk…I don’t remember the last time you were permitted to call MY OWN MAN by his name” Calantha said authority laced in her voice emphasizing on the ‘my own man’.

Lily glanced at Calantha, her eyes were golden and she couldn’t help but shivered hearing the tone Calantha used seconds ago.

“Apologies?” Kaal commanded.

“Okay look I’m sorry to say this Supreme Lord but I won’t be apologizing to this woman over here” Maude said glaring at Calantha with disdain.

“Don’t go back to your father kingdom in pieces Maude” Kaal growled.

“Ohh Kaal I don’t need a maniac apology” Calantha chuckled.

“I’m sorry supreme lord but this woman by your side isn’t who you think she is” Maude smirked.

“Tell me then” Kaal crossed his legs.

“If it doesn’t worth all this Maude then you will work as a maid for two month” Queen Ivana ordered.

“You don’t make the calling Queen Ivana” Maude snickered.

Queen Ivana chuckled loudly staring into space.

“Don’t you think you are spitting trash now” Lily scoffed.

“I won’t hesitate you being my next meal” Maude snorted.

“You are so full of yourself, you know what I’ve never felt this urge to kill someone before” Lily remarked.

“You will kill me..…miss the so called queen is a piece of cake to handle for me and now her sister is challenging me” Maude scoffed.

“Being a princess I thought you will be full above there but it seems it’s as empty as an empty barrel ” Calantha said pointing towards Maude head.

“How dare you!” Maude yelled.

“My lady” Mabel called and Maude glared at her.

“She’s more senseless than Henry” Lily chuckled.

“Definitely” Calantha muttered.

“How did I get dragged into you guys petty fights” Henry scoffed,they all glared at him.

“Senseless? me?…Supreme Lord how about I tell you how your so called Queen killed the maid” Maude said and they all stared at her.

“Christ mind your fxcking words” Lily snapped at her immediately.

“Really, explain how I killed her” Calantha raise her eyebrow.

“Your accusations are baseless miss” Bianca retorted.

“What? The least you all can do here is to listen to what she have to say” Blessing defended Maude.

“Blessing mind your business” Nick said tapping her.

“Don’t touch me with that filthy hands of yours” Blessing scoffed leaving his side.

“Blessing here is a witness, we saw how your so called queen murdered the Maid in cold blood” Maude rolled her eyes.

“Let’s here your story then” Kaal said.

“Story?, Supreme Lord you have trusted this woman too much” Blessing scoffed.

‘Kaal let them talk’ Calantha said inwardly, Kaal glanced at her and she nods her head.

“Speak” he ordered.

“I don’t know why she killed the maid but I saw it happen” Maude said.

“Seriously” Calantha let out a laugh.

“Damn such a stupid and worthless lie” Lily hissed through gritted teeth.

“For waisting my time, Rylan get her to the maids quarter and make her work for two month” Kaal disappeared.

“WTF!” Maude screamed out.

“Guess what, I was with Kaal all through so how can I kill the maid, I can’t possibly be two” Calantha chuckled.

“I fxcking saw her killed the maid, she dyed her body red!!” Maude yelled.

“I saw it too!!!” Blessing snapped.

“Rylan?” Queen Ivana raise her eyebrow.

“Yes Queen Ivana” Rylan said, he went to Maude dragging her out.

“I don’t know how you did it but I will prove it” Maude snorted glaring at Calantha as Rylan dragged her out.

Mabel followed them out.

“Blossom” Queen Ivana muttered giving her an assuring smile before going out.

“Someone is madly in love with your man” Bianca chuckled.

“Whatever” Henry said through gritted teeth, he glared at Calantha before leaving.

“Hmm” Calantha mumbled thinking of what Maude said.

“Your truth will be revealed sooner than you think” Blessing said through gritted teeth before stomping away.

“Okay this is s**t” Lily muttered.

“It’s fine” Edwin muttered walking out as well.

“What mistake did she do again that she was told to be a slave!!!!” King Carrius yelled.

“She insulted and accused the queen of murder” Mabel bowed.

“The queen, you mean Ivana?” He scoffed.

“No my king, the chosen wife of Supreme lord” Mabel replied.

“Oh so she’s the one, I have to pay a visit to Suprema then” he sis through gritted teeth.

“I will get going now my king, the princess sent me to deliver the message to you” Mabel said.

“Hm, don’t announce to them I’m coming, let’s see who the chosen queen is” King Carrius smirked.

Mabel saw the smirked on his face and she scoffed inwardly.

“Leaving now my king” Mabel said and walked out.

“What did she do again that warrant her to be treated like a slave?” Queen Odessa asked walking out of the restroom.

“Go ahead and ask your stupid daughter” King Carrius snorted walking out.

Mabel halted on her track feeling someone following her.

“Who is there?” She asked facing the back.

Looking around she saw nothing so she kept moving and then she heard it clearly.

Chants.

“Fxck” she groaned holding her ear tight.

“Xylara…..” she heard faint whispers.

“Ahh!!” She screamed out blood oozing out of her nose.

“Come to me….” The voice came again.

Mabel knees failed her as she fell to the floor.

“Come to mama…..” the voice whispered again.

“Let me go!!!!” She yellled.

“Don’t be stubborn darling…..” the voice whispered.

It seemed near but she was sure the voice was not any place nearer.

Mabel groaned in pain, cutting a strand of her long hair.

“Darling don’t do that….,” the voice whispered again.

“I hate you…” Mabel muttered, she tied the strand of her hair on her wrist.

The whispers stopped, she groaned standing up.

“We have to act real quick” she mumbled wiping her nose as she walked away.

~~MODERN CITY~~

A man sigh for the upteenth time trying a number.

“Hon, you need to calm down, honesty speaking if I was them I won’t be picking the call” his wife told him.

“Just shut the fxck up if you don’t have a better word to spit out” the man said with venom.

“Suit yourself, if you can go over there to find them then go, but don’t drag me and my child into your mess” the woman retorted walking out on him.

“Mess? You being in my life is a mess” he scoffed trying the number again.

“I won’t sit back and watch” he grits his teeth, his phone beeped and he checked it.

{Let’s talk now if you want answer to your questions} he scoffed reading the message.

“More like a command” he snickered.

His phone ring out, he checked the caller and a grin appeared on his face.

Calling me now? Is it time?

Slow things down! Pray some shits now because someone will be needing it soon.

Who?

Obey before questions.

The voice said disconnecting the call.

“You should be respecting me, the hell!!” He grits his teeth.

“Edwin, something is not right” Nick muttered entering Edwin chamber.

“Why do you say so?” Edwin asked.

“I don’t know, I’m just suddenly having an odd feeling” Nick said rubbing his chest.

“Calm down dude” Edwin chuckled.

“If this is about Maude then just leave her, she’s always like that” he added.

“No that’s not it, something wrong will be happening soon” Nick said rubbing his chest hardly.

“Okay! Calm down first that chest of yours will probably be red by now” Edwin muttered.

“You don’t get, ahh! it feels like I’m running mad” Nick said hitting his chest.

“Calm the fxck down already!” Edwin yelled rushing towards him.

“Something bad is happening soon” Nick cry out and Edwin eyes widened.

“I will be back soon” Edwin rushed out.

“Something bad will happen” Nick kept sobbing murmuring the words.

Kaal appeared in the room staring at him, Calantha and the rest rushed in.

“Supreme Lord something bad will happen…. I can feel it…Cally…Bianca…..” he murmured hitting his chest more.

They all gasped staring at him.

‘What’s wrong with him’ Calantha murmured inwardly.

‘He’s feeling what will happen in the future’ Calantha heard Avery voice and she sigh.

‘Where were you all this while, you just cut me off!’

‘You deserved it’ Avery shrugged.

‘Sorry’ Calantha mumbled still staring at Nick.

‘Supreme Lord you need to believe me…” Nick said holding unto his hair tightly.

Tears slipped out of his eye feeling his scalp in pain.

“It’s fine, I hear you” Kaal said moving towards him.

“You understand me right? Something bad will be happening, really bad..” Nick cry out.

“It’s fine” Kaal muttered snapping his finger, Nick passed out immediately.

“Rylan get Ora” Kaal ordered.

“Yes Supreme Lord” Rylan replied walking out.

“You should assist your friend to a comfortable bed, he won’t be waking anytime soon” Kaal said and disappeared.

“What just happened?” Lily blinked her eyes.

“It’s definitely the foreseen war” Edwin replied as they lay Nick on the bed.

“That’s why I’m here” Calantha shrugged.

“Kaal needs the chosen queen by his side to win the war” Bianca said.

“And she’s by his side already then what’s Nick saying” Bianca muttered.

“It’s not just an ordinary war, we will be fighting for mankind” Calantha sigh.

“This is all complicated than I thought” Lily mumbled.

“Going to my chamber” Calantha muttered leaving them alone.

“We will get going now” Bianca said and Edwin nodded.

They walk out heading to their respective chamber.

“Maude”Blessing called out and Maude came out from the maid quarter.

She looked unkept, her hair messy, her cloth dirty and her face was over it all.

“You should take a birth you look like a mad woman” Blessing commented glancing at her from her head to her toe.

“Keep your words to yourself, why are you here?” Maude asked.

“I came over to see how you are faring” Blessing replied.

“Now you have seen me I will get going” Maude shrugged and walked away.

“Still this bitchy attitude even tho you looked haggard” Blessing scoffed leaving.

“Kiss your ass” Maude cursed hearing Blessing word.

“Calantha I’m coming for you..killing the maid and then pretending..seriously” Maude rolled her eyes.

“Maude!!!!” She heard someone yell her name and she scoffed recognizing the voice.

“You should go if you don’t want her wrath” a maid told her.

“Never asked for your opinion” Maude retorted leaving the maid sight.

“You could have answered you b***h” the head maid snapped seeing Maude entered.

“Hey listen there I’m not a maid, I was just punished by Kaal so know your fxcking limits!!!” She yelled at the head maid.

“Punished or not, you are still a maid and you are under me so get your damn skinny flesh here!!!” The head maid yelled.

“Me? Skinny flesh? You will regret this woman I promise you” Maude snorted walking out.

“I’m not done” the woman went towards Maude retreating body and dragged her with her hair.

“Fxck!!” Maude yelped in pain feeling her scalp burn with pain.

“You don’t walk out on me nor talk back at me” the head maid snorted still dragging Maude holding her hair to the kitchen.

“Let me go woman!!!!!” Maude yelled.

“Not yet” the head maid smirked pouring flour on Maude face.

“WTF!!” Maude exclaimed.

“”One more” the head maid smirked throwing Maude into the waste bin.

“s**t!!!!!!” Maude scream out the smell hitting her nostrils.

🗣The princess was punished by Supreme lord.

“What are you waiting for!!” The head maid yelled cutting the last person off.

The maids scrambled out leaving Maude at the mercy of the head maid.

“No one will be helping you” the head maid smirked.

“Ahhh!!!!!!!, you will regret this!!!!!!!” Maude yelled earning a laugh from the head maid as she walked out.

“Enjoy the smell while it last” the woman laughed out finally walking out.
