It was more than over a week since their fight and they haven't spoken a word yet. Hash tried her best to talk with Lu Han but he was giving her the cold shoulder, he didn't want to do anything with her. Hash tried her very best to convince Lu Han in trying to talk with her but it was all in vain. But at work, Hash was full tuned, she didn't give a crap about her personal problems, she was too busy concentrating on work.
As usual, she was busy with some work when a knock was heard on her door.
"Enter."
"Ms. Hash, you've got an invitation card," Lee Min Seo said
"From?" she asked without looking up.
"Ummmm, that I don't know ma'am, but it looks pretty important."
Without an upward glance, she merely said,"fine, just leave it on the table, I'll read it when I am done with this file," and when Min Seo was about to leave, "and make arrangements for my visit to the Pearse mall at around 10 and no don't inform them," she answered before Min Seo could ask.
"Yes ma'am," and she walked out.
It was almost time for Hash to leave for her mall visit when her eyes fell on the invitation and did a double take when she saw the emblem of the sender; the Han emblem. With shaking hands she took it and opened it, she didn't know that she was holding her breath till then, it was an invitation for a party for the share holders, and she has to address the gathering as the major share holder. Her eyebrows shot up and got lost in her bangs, she couldn't possibly do a speech in front of so many people and not in front of her in-laws. By now Hash was sweating bullets, the party is on Sunday and she has only a day, today and tomorrow to get ready with a speech.
While all this commotion was going on in Hash's office, Lu Han was grinning from ear to ear, smirking at the fact that Hash would be trapped by now. Hash had been trying to talk to him but Lu Han was too arrogant,"I have my own ego to protect," thought Lu Han. "Now lets see how she would manage the party and the speech," he said to himself grinning like an i***t. He rang his secretary,"did the Pearse call and confirm about the party?"
"Yes sir, they called just a few minutes ago."
Lu Han frowned at the phone,"are you sure it was them?"
"Yes sir, I double crossed and checked."
"Ok."
"What is she up to? What does she think she is going to do planning to go to the share holders party?" he thought. He got up and started to pace in his room. He was on his sixth pace when,
"knock, knock," Su Ho entered without a minute to spare.
"why the hell did you knock then?"
"Just for the sake of it," he said shrugging, "and why the hell are you pacing up and down like a grandfather? Do you have arthritis?'
Sighing, he sat in front of him, "I sent an invitation for the Share holders party and turns out that she is coming."
Su Ho looked confusingly at him, "to who in the world did you send the invitation?"
"To Hash of course."
Su Ho face palmed at his friend's stupidity, "what the hell is wrong with you man? Are you freaking stupid as you look?"
Lu Han looked at him surprised, "why do you say that?"
"You are so full of yourself."
"I anyways have to send them an invitation even if she wasn't the CEO."
Su Ho leaned his head on the sofa and put his legs up the coffee table and closed his eyes,"I don't know what game you are trying to play but I know for sure that in the end it's always that poor girl who gets hurt."
"I don't care. After all she doesn't n need me anymore, I mean she got the money and other people to look after her. So why should I be bothered about her?"
"I know that you are my best friend but sometimes I still feel like smashing your head on your table."
Lu Han huffed and muttered under his breathe, annoyed at that fact that no one is trying to understand his feelings. But how the hell could someone realize his feelings when he is been a d**k head?
Today Hash some how managed to reach home before Lu Han, she had a lot on her mind when she entered home. She needed to pick a dress for the party, a dress that would stand out but at the same time it shouldn't be too ravishing as well, forget about the dress, she has a damn speech to prepare. She dragged her feet to her room too tired to even lift a finger instantly hit the bed. Jenny tapped on the door several times, she opened the door to take a peek since there was no answer and saw that Hash had fallen asleep with her shoes on. She went up to her bed and slowly removed her shoes and draped a blanket on her, Jenny looked at her peaceful face for sometime, "it's the only time that I see her face this serene," Jenny thought sadly. She smoothed her hair gently and walked out of the room closing the door behind her softly.
"Where is Hash?" Lu Han asked Jenny as she laid the dinner for him.
"She is fast asleep sir."
"When did she come?"
"An hour ago sir."
"Did she have her dinner?" Lu Han asked as he was cutting a slice of meat.
"No sir, she fell asleep the moment she came."
Lu Han looked up from his plate, fork suspending half way towards his mouth,"did she have her lunch?"
Jenny shook her, "she didn't have much for the entire week. If she did have that was because of my nagging."
Lu Han looked down at his plate and felt bad and guilty at the same time. And then suddenly frowned at that new feeling, pushing his plate aside he stood up and silently left the room. He went upstairs to Hash's room and quietly opened the door and peeked inside. Lu Han had never been to Hash's room before and when he saw the inside of the room his heart beat stopped. It was pure white, the window was open and the wind was blowing, the light was flowing into the room and on the four poster which was draped with white curtains lay Hash, fast asleep. He walked up to her side and stared at her face for sometime, he bent and softly tucked a loose hair behind her ear. Her soft snores where playing along with his loud beating heart, he didn't know what this new feeling was but seeing her sleeping peacefully subdued the angry lion in him. With a sudden reflex action he lightly kissed her forehead, and with a start he jumped back realizing what he did. Bewildered at his own actions he walked quickly out of the room with a loud beating heart.
