Heart Skipped a Beat...

Hash woke up with a start, she didn't know why or what made her wake up, but she definitely knew that something did wake her up. She looked around the room and it was pitch dark and then saw that her window was wide open, letting the cold air into the room, "maybe that's what woke me up," she thought. She slid down the bed and walked up to the window and peeped out. The balcony was empty (obviously) and then she closed the window. She switched on the light and looked at the clock, it was past 7 and she wondered where in the world the time went. And then it hit her, she has to write the speech. "Damn it!" she swore under her breath. Merely the thought of her mother-in-law gave her a shiver down the spine, gritting her teeth at her fate she made her way to the bathroom. By the time she came out of the bathroom, her nerves had calm down, her hair still dripping with water she threw the towel on the sofa and sat down at her table to write her speech. It was almost past midnight when she finished her speech and she didn't know how sleepy she was until she laid her pen down. The moment she concluded that she had completed the speech, her head hit the table first before the pen did. Mean while, Lu Han who had trouble sleeping was walking past Hash's room when he saw the door slightly ajar and the light pouring out. Out of curiosity he poked his head in and found the bed empty. Frowning, he pushed the door further away and found Hash sleeping soundly on the table, "this woman has got the ability to fall asleep where ever it is," he muttered under his breath while walking towards her. He walked around the table and stood for a minute starring at her face, sighing, he snaked his arm around her waist and lifted her up, she was light as a feather. Walking slowly to the bed, he gently laid her on the bed and arranged the pillows around her. He sat on the bed next to her and brushed a curl away from her face, "I keep on doing this," he said quietly, "brushing away your curls." He looked at her face for a couple of minutes and quietly walked out of the room switching off the lights on his way out. Lu Han tucked at his bow uncomfortably, the party was so far so good but how long will it last. Lu Han quickly changed his worried face to a smile when yet again another guest arrived. "Hello Mr. Kim, it's pleasure to have you with us tonight," he said to a tout looking man. He had been saying the welcome saying like a robot for the past hour or so and he was sure that his jaw would dislocate for the amount of welcome he had done. "I think you deserve to have a break," Su Ho came up to him and said. Lu Han gave him a gratifying look and walked with him to the room. He was lavishly enjoying his drink when what he saw nearly made him spit at Su Ho's face. "What in the devil's name is she doing here?" "What devil are you talking about?" So Ho asked with a confused look. Lu Han nodded at the person who was standing at the door and looking for someone. Su Ho turned and he nearly choked on his drink. Gulping it down, "what the hell! Who invited her?" Lu Han who looked like he is about to burst with anger, "who else, my mum of course." "I don't know about you but the fact that Lee Eun Gi, your ex- fiance is here is gonna be a disaster dude. Trust me and I don't need to give you a portfolio about her to you right?' "Damn it! I swear I am gonna...." and his word were lost in mid air. Su Ho looked at him with a creased brow and saw that Lu Han had suddenly gone numb. Lu Han starred at the door and did a double take, his heart beat suddenly accelerated to point no where and the room felt warmer and it spun. The entire room seems to hush up.There at the door stood Hash! "What happened?" Su Ho nudged him and looked past him and saw Hash. Well Su Ho paled for a completely different reason, gulping he slowly edged away from Lu Han. Hash stood at the door nervously as everyone looked at her. Lu Han couldn't believe what he was seeing. Hash looked like an "angel" his thoughts whispered. Never had he seen her like this before or did he ignore to notice? She wore a, one off shoulder peach color vestidos de festa backless gown. It hung to her perfectly showing off her curves and edges. Her hair was let lose and all gathered up to her left side and it fell like a cascade of water. Lu Han didn't know what she had done but she looked ravishing, even the fact that she had the slightest of the make up made her look like a mermaid or a mythical creature. Lu Han stupidly starred at Hash and so did the entire room, but for another reason as well, it was later that he noticed that she wasn't alone. Hash was standing next to a tall, well built looking man whom Lu Han didn't know. Lu Han's face turned red with anger and humiliation after all Hash was still his wife and how dare she walk in to the party on another man's arm. At that moment, Hash caught sight of Lu Han and made her way towards him with her partner. Lu Han crossed his arms and angrily starred at her. The moment she came to him, he took hold of her hand and dragged her to a corner. "What the hell do you think you are doing?" Hash removed his hand from her arm and starred at him madly, "What the hell do you think YOU are doing? How dare you drag me like that?" Lu Han smirked at her,"you are still my wife till we get divorced so suck it up." "That is at home, this is a business party. There are no relationships over here only business relationships." She deadpanned. "And for the record I am your guest of honour so treat me right." With that she walked away towards the guy.
