"Thanks for tonight. I had a really nice time." I looked up into Seb's blue eyes as a wave of nerves suddenly hit me.
"You are more than welcome." Seb replied tucking a stray hair behind my ear carefully. It was such a simple gesture but every time he did it it made me giddy.
"I still can't believe you didn't notice the waitress's flirting. She was practically sitting on your lap!" I laughed trying to avoid saying goodnight to Seb.
"I swear I didn't!" Seb confessed holding his arms up in surrender.
"She even wrote her number on the napkin which you used to wipe your mouth!" I laughed remembering the waitresses face when she saw him doing it.
"Why would I notice anyone else when I was already with the most perfect girl?" He added with a dazzling smile.
I thought I was doing pretty well keeping my cool in the face of his charm and good looks, then he gives me that smile and says something like that and I am reminded it is a lost cause. This man was literally made for me, I could never become immune.
I roll my eyes and reach up on my toes to plant a kiss on his lips alighting little sparks on my skin.
Suddenly Seb's eyes turned dark and he pressed his body up against me, pinning me between his chest and the wall. His hands roamed my body while he kissed me passionately. I was lost. I forgot about worrying if my parents were watching through the window or if the neighbours could see. My mind and body were completely consumed with lust for Seb. His hand travelled over my breast making me moan lightly and arched my back to close any remaining distance. Seb moved his kisses to trail down my neck and over where eventually my mark would be. The feeling was such intense pleasure making my head drop back giving him more access.
*knock* *knock* *knock*
"You've been out there a while!" Dylan called from behind the door. I immediately jumped out of Seb's arms feeling a flush of blood running to my cheeks in embarrassment. Seb didn't seem phased,
"Oh piss off ya mutt!" Seb yelled back through the door with a chuckle. He looked back at me with humour in his eyes enjoying my embarrassment and Dylan's taunting. You could hear Dylan laughing at Seb through the door.
"At least it was Dylan and not your Dad?" Seb tried to ease my nerves with a shrug. He was right, I don't know what my Dad would have done. Definitely not a casual knock on the door!
"True." I sighed as Seb wrapped his arms around me as I nuzzled my face into his chest to breathe in his smell of cinnamon and orange. I let the smell calm and relax me. It worked instantly.
"Well I had better go inside before Dylan comes out." I joke with my hand on the door handle.
"Good idea - although I could just use my Alpha command and make him leave us alone?" He joked, "But I said I wanted it to be special and I do." Seb said while leaving a quick peck on my lips. He smiled as the tingles tickled our lips as the touched. "I'll call you tomorrow? I need to start on a plan for our next date!" Seb continued excitedly making me smile. He was really sweet. Its amazing how fast the mate bond kicks in, how was I already falling after the first date?! My plans to take it slow were quickly being over taken by the strength of the bond. Seb turned and started walking back to his car, pausing before getting in to wink and yell "Night Babe!" The butterflies went mad in my stomach in reaction. I turned and went inside walking straight to my room so I didn't run into Dylan.
"So tell me all about it! I've been waiting up for you to get home!" Mum said as she walked in my bedroom, block of chocolate in one hand and a bag of chips in the other.
"It was amazing Mum." I replied earning a massive smile from my Mum. She was so happy that I had found my mate.
I continued recalling our date while Mum listened and occasionally added in a happy sigh or a mhm;
"First he drove us to the little Mexican restaurant down the road for dinner. He didn't even notice when the waitress wrote her phone number on the napkin she gave him, he left it on the plate, used, when we left. Then we went to the Botanic Gardens. You know the little gazebo in the middle that's covered in ivy and fairy lights? Right by the lily pond? Well Seb had reserved the spot and had set up a picnic blanket, candles, a speaker for some music and a dessert picnic basket filled with brownies, cookies and lollies. It was beautiful. I felt like I was in a movie." Even just talking about our date it didn't seem real. It was too perfect.
"Honey that sounds like a wonderful night. Alpha Seb obviously put in a lot of effort!" Mum gushed while chucking another piece of chocolate into her mouth. "What about everything else? I know you probably don't want to talk to your mum about it but I think you need to be aware..." Mum hesitated. She was right, this was not the type of conversation I really felt like having with my mother. Internal face palm.
"... but you know the sensation you get when you touch each other? Like your wolf is trying to take control and complete the mating bond?"
I internally groaned but nodded so she knew I was listening.
"And you know how the full moon effects us? Strengthening us, our mate bonds and our pack?" she waited a response to which I simply nodded again wondering where this was going.
"Well this full moon will be especially strong for you and Seb. Being newly found mates who haven't completely the mate bond it will become extremely challenging to repress your wolves. Near impossible." she eyed me cautiously to sense my reaction. I was in shock. It doesn't surprise me due to the timing but it is a lot to take in straight after our first date.
"You don't need to respond, I know it is a lot of process. I just wanted you to be aware. I would think if Seb didn't already know Luna Jen would have told him too. The mate bond is strong on its own without the full moon's powers on top. I remember when your father and I..."
"OOOOHHH NO! THAT'S IT! CONVERSATION OFFICIALLY ENDED! Mum I really don't want to know about you and Dad mating." I jumped in before she could continue. Mum made a face like she already knew I would have that reaction.
"Got it! I'll leave you to reminisce on your date then." she laughed and got up to go to bed. "Want me to leave these with you?" Mum pointed to the chocolate and chips on my bed.
"Yes please." I responded. Obviously I wasn't gong to sleep yet.
"Alright. Good night Alice. I'm so glad you had a wonderful night. You seem so happy." she blew me a kiss and walked out the door. That's the good thing about Mum - she was easy to talk to but knew when not to push the subject.
I stayed up for a while messaging Ellie and Sarah. They had sent several messages asking for updates and wanting to know all the details. I was more than happy to boast about how thoughtful my new mate was.
