Everyone was ready to leave searching for Asher. I prayed he would be able to tell us more and help fill the blanks in my memory. I knew I couldn't go to Alice if I couldn't prove anything.
"We should all be able to fit in my car. That cool with everyone?" I asked the group, eager to get going. Everyone nodded in approval.

We all looked at each other. Who was that? Ellie was at her Grandma's house for the weekend. Who else could it be?
"Hang on!" Dylan called out as he walked to the door.
There standing on the front step was Asher, bouquet of flowers in his hand. His smile faded when he saw Dylan in the doorway.
"Dylan... Ah, is Alice home?" Asher stuttered. Clearly nervous.
"No she's not." Dylan replied bluntly.
"Do you know when she will be coming back?"
