Chapter 3: Speculation

2722 Words
Clouse POV I wandered throughout Mexico like a ship lost at sea. The hurricanes made it easy to navigate and yes, no one suspected a thing. I made my way to my ranch in Qirenwenchado. It was upon a mountain to allow me to have a great view and advantage point in case anyone or anything ever tried to take me by surprise. It was a remote pueblo and not really touched by the modern world yet. Everyone knew everyone but also minded their own business. They weren’t frightened of me when it came to me, but knew I was not human. I offered them protection from the paranormal world and the local drug lords and in return, I was left alone. I rested here for the day. I laid down in my bed and waited for the sun to die down for me to move again. I took out the cloth that I swiped from our time together and breathed in her essence. I hungered for her more than a blood meal. I wanted her here. I wanted to be deep inside of her. I allowed my eyes to slide closed and as I did the memories of her came flooding in. I could hear her soft moans and panting as she rode me hard because she loved me as deeply in her as I did. My c**k was rock hard as I relived her energy. I refused to masturbate to just thinking of her. I needed to plunge my c**k deep into her and release my seed again. I shook my head to get myself out of the s****l escapade we had shared. The bell outside of my casa rang. An unexpected someone was here. I huffed in aggravation as I made my way downstairs to see who dared to come to my doorstep. I opened the door to find the local psychic – Esmeralda. She was a beautiful brunette with big, chocolate, brown eyes. She was a looker. No doubt she had information for me. I met her once when she was just a child. I think she was around five then. Now, she was a full-figured beautiful woman with full lips, perky t**s, and a round ass. She was more of Zach’s type of woman. I looked at her waiting for her to speak. “Perdoname el Rey.” Esmeralda looked at me like I hypnotized her. “English por favor,” I responded curtly. “Of course. Excuse me, King. Your coming here was unexpected and I had a vision. You are looking for your woman, the Queen yes?” Esmeralda looked down when she spoke to me. I tilted her head back so she could look at me. “Yes. What vision?” I could feel my blood lust rise within me if she said something that I didn’t like. She trembled in fear. “Sir, I saw her. She is beautiful. She is also longing for what you shared not long ago. She is with child. She is also not here. She is in the United States. I saw airplanes, cars and then the country. I also saw….” Her voice trailed off. I stared at her menacingly. She looked up for a brief moment to catch my gaze. She immediately looked down and continued. “She was surrounded by wolves, your majesty.” I sucked in a deep breath when she told me this. “Do not ever repeat your vision. If you do then you have sentenced you and your entire family lineage to death. Men, women, and children. Leave.” I watched her as I said this. She looked up at me wide-eyed and a few shades paler than before. Tears were welling up in her eyes. She shook her head in confirmation of understanding my declaration and backed away from the house. As she got further away she turned and ran as fast as she could to get away from me. I closed the door and waited to make sure I was truly alone. I heard nothing, but I knew someone or something else was here. I made my way to the living room bar to pour a drink. “Hola Clouse. I’ve missed our wild days together. I heard you were in town and disappointed when you didn’t call.” Julieta purred as she poured herself a drink. She was a local bruja that I had f****d a few times when I was in town, but it wasn’t anything like she was alluding to. She was a century old and not worth my time. She seemed to think differently. “I saw Esme leave your home and wondered what she could have been doing here? I have to admit I was jealous to think you went for young blood instead of me. But then I saw her crying and then running away from your home. She has escaped death for now.” I watched her drink down her beverage and shrug her shoulders as if she was something of importance to me. She was far from it. I just stared at her with annoyance. She smiled at me. Had I been a human or other shifters I would never have seen past the glamour. She was old, ugly, and crusty. She was the type of witch you’d see in a Hollywood film. “Cat got your tongue? Ah. Well. Let’s get to some hot steamy s*x, my handsome undead Vampire. I haven’t had a good rutting since our last time together.” She sighed and started fanning herself. If I was human I would have thrown up in my mouth. She saw my facial expressions and rolling my eyes at her. Her face hardened. “I’m busy. I didn’t come to f**k you, Julieta. That was long ago. Esme tried and failed too. Not interested. Hard pass. Please leave.” I motioned for her to exit my home. “Really Clouse? Then why are you here if not to have s*x with me?!” Julieta was screaming at me as if my words offended her somehow. I tried to stifle a smile when my front door got kicked in. We both turned to see the intruder. It was the local shaman - Manuel. He stomped over to Julieta. My eyebrows raised to see the performance that was ensuing. Julieta looked like she just got her hand caught in the cookie jar. “Who are you?!” Manuel turned to me and shouted. His head was as red as a tomato and spit flew as he shouted his question. He looked like a rabid animal about to internally combust. He was definitely a great match for Julieta. He was also definitely pissed at what he thought he was walking into. “I’m Clouse. I’d appreciate it if you two would leave immediately. I’m busy and about to be leaving in a couple of hours.” I again motioned for them to leave. Manuel grabbed Julieta by her arm and forced her to leave. I again tried not to smile or laugh and decided to clear the air so he knew who I was and where he stood. “Manuel, before you leave I think you should know that a VERY long time ago your woman and I had f****d a few times when I was in town. She was much younger then. I came into town on business and have no interest in your woman. I never did. Nor did I call on her when I came into town. She appeared here. At my home. Should she disrespect me again I will kill her. Keep her close and away from my home.” Manuel looked at me with fire in his eyes and understood me clearly. He also snapped his gaze in Julieta’s direction. She was clearly afraid, but she wasn’t my problem. I also didn’t have time to engross myself in a lovers quarrel when I had my own issues to deal with. They quickly disappeared and I was now truly alone. I made my way to my office and closed the door. The Bahamas Zach’s POV One thing I love more than a beautiful woman to f**k and suck is the Bahamas and all of the surrounding islands. The nights are warm and the food is exceptional, and I mean the variety of blood all around. Being here always brings back fond memories. Right now, my focus was purely business despite the delectable scents of coconut, ocean air, and spices. I took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. It was dusk and the nightlife was coming to starting. People were dining, drinking, and determined to have a good time. I sighed. Tourists. I lowered my gold-rimmed glass to look around. A piano. I need a local’s bar and a piano to be the ice breaker and keep a low profile. I rolled up my white Armani shirt, unbuttoned my black vest, and tilted my fedora forward and to the right. Some would call me flashy, but my ensembles made it easy for me to move with certain crowds to get information. People and shifters always came to me with information. Even if I wasn’t looking for it. Tonight I’m hoping to hear something about my King’s mystery woman. I walked into a local establishment and found my way to the bar. I ordered a beer, sat down, and started to listen to everyone. The bartender was a black beauty. She smelled as good as she looked and of course, she was throwing looks my way. I smiled. She sauntered over. “Did you need another beer?” She was biting her lower lip and smiling at me. Her eyes sparkled like jewels and it was, unfortunately, going to be easy to beguile her. I gave her a crooked smile in response and pushed my empty glass to her. She winked at me and went to get me a refill. “So you here long?” “No. Just here on business.” Her luscious lips pouted and she leaned in. My God I wanted to lick and bite her all over. I decided to be outright and ask, “You mind if I play on your piano for a bit? It’s a way I relax.” I caressed her hand with my fingers stroking her up and down. A sinister grin slid onto her beautiful face. “It’s a shame. Surely, playing the piano isn’t business is it?” She locked eyes with me. Her eyes turned all black and then back to her beautiful brown orbs. I knew it. She was a demon. Nice. My hunch was spot on about coming to a local’s bar. “I asked if I could play on your piano, so I can relax. What do you say? When’s your shift over?” I allowed my fangs to descend a bit so she knew what she was walking into. “Absolutely.” She pushed herself off of the bar. “My shift ends in an hour. I can’t wait.” She swayed her hips as she walked away to help a patron. I chuckled and shook my head to clear out all of the naughty things I was going to do to her ass tonight. I hadn’t f****d a demon in a long while and they were always wild in bed. Just then a growly voice announced itself behind me. “I highly doubt you’re here for business. What cha’ doin’ here? What cha’ want besides a good f**k from someone that doesn’t belong to you?” I turned casually around with my beer in my hand to see who my visitor was. I was pleasantly surprised to see my old friend Jacque. We stared each other down for a few seconds that made the place quiet down. Then we broke character, smiled, and hugged each other. The noise went back to normal. “So, what’s changed since I’ve been gone? Who’s the new badass in town?” “Well, the wolves have started showing up more and more. One of the islands northeast of here was recently bought by an Alpha. Also, I don’t know if you’ve heard but the Wolf King’s daughter died suddenly. As far as the badass goes, common man! You know that no one can be badder than me!” We both laughed at his last sentence. He struck my curiosity though with the Wolf King’s daughter’s death. I decided to casually pry further to see what he knew. He was always easy on giving me information. I still had to give him a hard time though. “You’re a fool! You don’t remember me kicking your ass all of those times before?” I laughed heartily. I took a swig of my beer. “How did she die?” “Don’t know. No one does. Word has it, she skipped out of the house right before she was supposed to ascend to the Queen status and meet her fiancé. No one knew where she disappeared to. All of us were flagged to keep an eye out for her after she had been missing for over 48 hours. Then all of a sudden the search was called off. She went back home. Then she died. Kinda curious though.” Jacque drank his beer down and wiped the excess from his mouth. He leaned in so unless you were a shifter you wouldn’t be able to hear him. I raised an eyebrow at all of this information. He took that as a cue to carry on with the story. I continued to listen on. “No one knows how she passed. No ceremony. No, nothing. I’m thinking either she got knocked up when she had disappeared and the ol’ she died story is a cover to keep them from embarrassment and shame or she said something ‘mommy and daddy’ didn’t like so they locked her away until she changes her mind.” He shrugged his shoulders. “Hmmmm….good story my man. Good story. Wolves have always been a complicated bunch. I reckon the Royals and their scandals are just as drama-laced as human royals. Weren’t the Wolf Royals located in Hawaii though?” I hinted at more info. “Yea, but I’m pretty sure they have pack land in the U.S. I mean if it were me being her dad and she my daughter, ran away, randomly comes back then I’d be pissed. If, hypothetically speaking she was found to be with child out of wedlock before meeting her fiancé, throwing the life we created for her away that included her getting married to an Alpha and ascending to Queen……..I dunno man. I’d be staging her death too, making her give birth, probably kick her ass out of my home and have her go back stateside and live somewhere remote, out of the way, and not in any way capable of bringing more dishonor to the family. That kind of information IF true would weaken his stand in the wolf shifter community and council. This is all ‘hypothetical’ though. Mere speculation. I’m sure you vamps don’t have drama like this going on.” He huffed and drank another beer down. The hour passed quickly with Jacque. I messaged Clouse to meet me tomorrow in Texas before I became entangled. My beautiful black beauty’s shift was now over and I had a date to play on her piano to relax. It was good to catch up with an old friend. We said our goodbyes. Now, it was time for dessert.
