Chapter Three

1932 Words
Aaliyah's POV The room was dimly lit and the air in the room hung with tension as I finished making Orion's bed for the night. My small frail hands subconsciously brushed against the sheets as I thought of what they were usually up on the bed together at night. It was obvious, considering everyone was talking about it and how Vivian kept them up at night with her moans of pleasure but I still wished- a small part of me hoped that Orion would at least respect the fact that I was his wife and not do such a thing. The past few days since Vivian moved in have been nothing but torture. I saw a side of Orion that I had never seen before. Unfortunately, that side of him was noticeably reserved for just Vivian. He would always smile lovingly at her, took her to the best dates, bought her gifts, kissed her, hugged her, cuddled her. She never did a single thing in the house but order is around. She seemed to have gotten word about me and all her resentment, hate and brutality was on me the past few days of her stay. She wouldn't miss her chance to remind me of her place and my place in the pack. Life was terrible and at times I thought of just ending it all, but the love I still had dpr Orion burned deep into my hearr. I had fallen in love with him during the times I had helped him recover and although I regret it, I couldn't help it. As I made to leave, Vivian suddenly walked out of the shower, a lazy smile on her face as she began loosening the robe she had on. “Get me some water, would you?” She ordered in that same authoritative tone and without a bow, I simply bowed and left the room. A few minutes later, I was carrying a large jug of water and a glass wine cup on a tray as I pushed the door to Orion's room. The scene before me was so shocking that the next second, a quivering gasp left my lips as my grip on the tray loosened. The crash echoed around the room, and the two of them, caught up in the heat of their love making turned towards me. “I'm sorry,” I stammered, feeling tears well up in my eyes as I turned to grab the door knob, still shaking from the sight I had seen. “I'll leave now.” “No,” Orion's powerful voice pulled me back and I froze as I stood there, my eyes averted the other way, scared to meet his eyes, scared to let him see the tears in mine and let him know I was hurt. “Stay.” “But… “ “This is what you wanted right? Because you're well aware of what goes on in this room and yet you still chose to walk in on us. So enjoy the show.” “Alpha… “ my words were cut short from a glare directed at me when I realized I was pushing it too far. “Orion please, you're killing me,” Vivian's moans travelled across the room as her nails dug dig harder into the back of my own husband, her legs curling around his waist. “Anymore and I might explode.” He chuckled and my stomach churned when I heard the sound of flesh against flesh, watching as he thrusted in and out of her. “Well, that is of the essence my love.” “Orion… I love you.” Vivian’s voice came from underneath him and I staggered against the door, feeling my heart shatter into pieces as I watched her meet his thrust while he met her rhythm while reaching down to kiss her. My shaky hands opened the door as I ran out, not even bothering what hapoens to me for disobeying orders, but I couldn't watch. Unable to bear the torment any longer, I fled from the room, tears streaming down my face. I couldn't even make it to my own room; I collapsed at the top of the stairs, my sobs echoing through the empty halls. The rain outside mirrored the storm raging within me. After a while, I felt a presence behind me and turned to see Vivian in her robe, a devious smirk spreading across my face when she saw my dried up tears. She reveled in my pain, taunting me with her presence. My shame and brokenness knew no bounds knowing that we both knew who Orion would choose over the other. “I almost feel sorry for you Aaliyah. But I must say,” She starts taking slow steps down the stairs and I just watched until she reached the bottom and turned to me. There was an unfathomable glint in her eyes. “You're quite the fighter. You mean after all these, you still won't give up. You still won't leave. Orion is mine and mine alone.” “You know nothing of what he went through during the time he was bedridden and at the point of death.” I snap as I retorted, seeing the shock in her eyes as I've never spoken back to her before. “Where were you, huh? Where were you when he was dying? His first love? That's really all you are to him. You can't change the fact that I'm his wife regardless.” She scoffed, hiding the pain and anger in her eyes. “How dare you?” Upon realizing I had pushed it to far and remembering that Vivian was a full fledged wolf, an Alpha's daughter and was capable of killing me, I shrunk back under her glare. However, what she did, was the most shocking thing I've ever experienced in my life. She suddenly pulled a knife right out of her robe and stabbed herself right in the stomach. The scene was traumatizing, but what even left me horrified was when she fell to the ground, and let out the loudest nist horrifying scream I've ever heard in my life. In shock, I got up, wondering what her intentions were. The pieces were coming in together and the moment Orion appeared, I knew what she had planned up. “Vivian.” My hurt knew no bounds as he pushed me out of the way before running downstairs to take her into his arms. She screamed when he touched her leg, nursing it while letting out tears that streamed down her face. “What did I ever do to you? I knew you hated me but this… this is going too far Aaliyah. I only just wanted to talk.” She turned to me and I stood there, shaking my head while Orion slowly got up and began walking towards me. “You did this?” Already the Omegas and guards who had heard the scream were all trooping in, wondering what was going on. “No.” I screamed, tears welling up in my eyes as I backed away before glaring at Vivian who was crying painfully while the Omegas tried to tend to her. She looked so pitiful and hurt that I would have even believed I was the one that pushed her. “You know I didn't do it. Why are you lying?” I screamed at her but my words were cut short by a slap on the face from Orion. I staggered and fell to the floor, tasting blood in my mouth. “Are you calling her a liar?” “She's lying!” I didn't care If I was killed. I would defend myself to my last breath because I knew no matter how much I hated Vivian, I would never do such a thing. Orion descended upon me like a merciless predator, his hands tightening around my throat, squeezing the life out of me. In that moment, I saw the darkness that dwelled within him, the monster that wore the facade of an Alpha. “You..” he turned to an Omega. “Get her things packed immediately.” He threw me down to the floor and I felt a sickening feeling run down my spine when he glared down at me. “Your time is up Aaliyah. You're leaving this pack today and I don't care If it's raining fire. I want you out.” He left and I turned to see the other Omegas carrying Vivian on a stretcher while rolling her off. The rest stood there, witnessing the scene and most of them gave me disgusted, disapproving looks. No one believed me. No one could stand up for me. Not one. Papers fluttered down to the floor Infront of me and upon realizing what they were, I looked up just see Orion throw a pen on my lap. “For the sake of my mother, I had kept you around. You are nothing but bad luck. I hate you. You don't understand the height of the resentment I have for you Aaliyah. There's nothing good about you yet I had beared with your sickening presence. But hurting my woman, my mate? That was just the height of it all. Sign the papers and get out of my pack and my life.” “Orion I have done nothing but love you. Why do you hate me this much! I am your wife.” “You have exactly 10 seconds to sign those documents and leave or I might be able to control myself and just kill you. You don't even deserve to breath the same sir as Vivian and you dare hurt her!!” This was a final blow, a crushing realization that he had never truly wanted me and I was stupid, foolish to think he’d ever change the way he felt about me. I signed the document with shaky hands and true to his words, seconds later, I was thrown out of the pack house, under the merciless rain with my things scattered on the floor. I stumbled through the rain-soaked streets, my heart heavy with despair and uncertainty, tears rolling down my cheeks. I didn't know how long I walked for until the night grew darker. I was drenched and cold and at the point of just giving up. Where would I even go? I had no where. I had no friends. My ‘family’ hadn't even checked up on me for the past three months; not once did they ever call. Suddenly, I heard the sounds of wolves, and it was then I realized I was at the pack border. I was in another territory bearing a foreign scent. I was in danger zone. I turned, and with a gasp, saw I was surrounded by a pack of wolves, sizing me up with their crimson red eyes, their snarling lips revealing sharp canniness that could tear me into pieces. Just when I was ready to accept my fate, seeing as there was no place to run, I heard a voice. “Stop.” I looked up, seeing a large figure standing in front of me with his back turned to me, one arm stretched out Infront of me like a shield. I couldn't see his face, yet I could feel his surreal and powerful aura radiating from his being. The wolves were adamant as they snapped their jaws, ready to jump at me again until he said again, leaving me shocked. “You will not hurt my mate.”
